Despite 33 points and seven rebounds from DeMarcus Cousins, the Orlando Magic beat the visiting Sacramento Kings 102-94 Thursday night.
Evan Fournier scored a team-high 29 points, and Bismack Biyombo’s hustle provided a spark for the Magic.
Nikola Vucevic scored six of his 10 points in the fourth quarter, and played solid defense on Boogie down the stretch.
Per the Orlando Sentinel:
“That’s when it happened,” Magic coach Frank Vogel said. “The second quarter, that whole group was really good: D.J. (Augustin) and C.J. (Watson) together. Jeff Green had a big night for us. And, obviously, Biz’s energy always changes the game.”
“I just believe that small plays can always make a difference,” Biyombo said.
(Cousins) scored 33 points, but he grew increasingly frustrated throughout the fourth quarter, furrowing his brow or slumping his shoulders with every turnover and foul his teammates committed.
