The Post Up: Magical Victory

No shot clock, no problem. Orlando has Superman (and Shard).

by Holly MacKenzie / @stackmack

And we’ve got ourselves a series. I’m a happy, happy girl. Two nights in a row of amazing playoff basketball and I just know the Lakers/Nuggets won’t disappoint me tonight.

Happy to hear JR’s knee/calf/etc. is doing okay and he should be good to go tonight.

Now, Hello Orlando Magic. How lovely of you to remind everyone that no one is entirely invincable. Even if the Cavs get the next three, I’m glad SVG and his crew got a game. I love that he told them they were all witnesses at the half. Loved LeBron’s assessment of this postgame, even more: “Uh, that’s called reverse psychology.” And you, LeBron, are entertaining.

Scary to see him hunched over after the game though. Apparently he’s okay, just a leg cramp.

Can we not talk about how tired he was? Or how maybe he had too much rest? Let’s just accept the loss as a loss and give the Magic some credit for coming back and grinding out the one-point victory.

I’m hoping the rest of the games in this series are as competitive. I’m also thinking that might be too much to ask for.

Dwight taking down the shot clock was just perfect. Anything that gives an opportunity to look back at the old clips of Shaq doing it first is a good thing. I loved that they had to go old school with the shot clocks on the floor. Yeah, I know, probably annoying for the fans, but the 10-minute delay cracked me up and reminded me of the New Orleans game last year when they had the stunt that went wrong with the fire extinguisher. Remember that?

One more thing about twitter: Watching the NBA playoffs while other NBA players who have been eliminated are also watching and tweeting along is pretty fun. It’s a little crazy how we are all so connected in this world through media and I am just loving it. If you were wondering, Charlie Bell and his wife are my new favorite NBA couple. They are hilarious. The best was when she asked him if he’d get her lips tattooed on his neck ala Kenyon and Trina.

Okay, so Orlando takes the 1-0 series Lead. LA is up 1-0 on the Nuggets and they play Game 2 tonight.

Kobe went for a quiet 40 Tuesday night so it was only natural that LeBron would flirt with 50 last night, right? 49 for Bron but the W for Superman.

I love watching NBA stars becoming even bigger stars under the pressure of the playoffs. I loved hearing SVG say he had no idea what to do with LeBron. I also really, really love Delonte. Not so much a fan of Doug Collins announcing Cavs games though. It’s just a little (or a lot), over the top. And when I’M calling someone’s NBA love over the top, well then you know it’s serious.

Okay guys, I’m off to enjoy Game 2 day. Counting down the hours until tonight.

I have to say right now . . . the torch has passed. LeBron James is the best player in the world.

  • http://www.shawn-kemps-offspring.blogspot.com Eboy

    Happy Birthday Holly!

  • http://www.shawn-kemps-offspring.blogspot.com Eboy

Was I the only one that saw that big gash on Lebron’s left leg at the end of the game, not the right one he was favoring for cramping?

  • http://slamonline.com James The Balla

    Eboy, I seen it.

  • AlbertBarr

What a game…Dwight Howard and Shard did their thang and the cavs just ended up standing around waiting for LeBron to bail them out (although Delontes three at the end was clutch)…I am excited for the Magic and although I love LeBron and the Cavs I want to see Orlando keep it up and try and take this thing…They won even though LeBron was brilliant. The Cavs cant guard Hedo, Rashard or Howard very well one on one and it is going to be a problem. Also, give Mickeal pietrus credit for his D. Boy was on LeBron all night and he made him work.

  • AlbertBarr

    I saw it to.

  • http://slamonline.com/ Justin Walsh

This is interesting. When Kob’ drops a fiddy, if it comes in a loss he’s selfish. Bron does it and he’s the best? I don’t think either is the right answer. Bron had a great game but didn’t get the win. But best believe the combination of Magic Johnson jabbing their heart on television and Jerry West saying Bron is the mint condish will motivate Kobe to be hot fire like Dylan on Chappelle’s skit.

  • http://slamonline.com James The Balla

Lebron James is definitely the basketball player now. I will agree … but that still does not take away from the refs favoring Lebron. I mean, the games are so one sided, that it is hard to like everything Bron does. Because he has it so much easier. The 6th foul on Dwight was … weak. That is all I can say, weak.

  • http://slamonline.com James The Balla

Justin … that paragraph right there was writtien to perfection. Slick my brother, slick!!

  • Myung

Happy birthday, Holly. Thanks for all the work you put into these Post Up’s throughout the year. And also… GO MAGIC!!! I’m pulling for the underdogs the rest of the way! Go Magic and Nuggets!

  • http://nicekicks.com MeloMan13

Gawd Orlando is sooo dyam boring. they’re like the black Raptors, just stand in one spot and shoot threes.

  • http://slamonline.com James The Balla

I am pulling for the underdogs too. Go magic and Go lakers!!!

  • http://slamonline.com James The Balla

God, melo man is so bor … NEGATIVE. Good luck with the Denver win tonight…

  • http://slamonline.com/ Justin Walsh

thanks JTB. Holly, happy 24th birthday. The day comes on game 2 of the LAL/DEN series. And since it’s 24- You know Kobe is going to have fate on his side.

  • AlbertBarr

The Magic did NOT just stand around and shoot threes. They had some crisp ball movement and they really took advantage of getting mismatches…did you even watch the game MeloMan…at least the Magic didn’t try to inbound the ball with Anthony Johnson and lose the possession which would have won them the game…

  • http://slamonline.com James The Balla

JTB, I like that as well. I am thinking about changing my online name to Jones’n!! I believe in fate. Kobe dropping 109 points tonight.

  • AlbertBarr

    Anthony Johnson>Anthony Carter….

    Anthony Carter>>>Teddy the bear and a caterpiller…

  • http://slamonline.com/ Justin Walsh

If you feelin’ like a win Gundy, go ‘n put ya heroes in, Mike Brown is crazy baby, don’t forget that boy pulled James during a crucial point. You gotta GET that Win in the column, GET get THAT that win in the column! You now tuned in to the muhfckuing greatest (Holly’s column :])

  • http://www.slamonline.com GotHandles?

    Dwight Howard>>>Arnold

  • http://ittakesanationofmillionstoholdthissac.blogspot.com ciolkstar

Bron was on another planet for most of that game last night. He needs his teammates to do more though, dude was gassed at the end of that game. And Walsh, hos Kobe ever scored that many points on that high a FG% in a playoff game? Besides, Bron was dishing whenever the double came and in crucial situations throughout the game (including a kick out for the potential game winner by ‘Lonte) nobody who actually watched that game could surmise that Bron was being selfish, thats just ludicrous. And I don’t think people have called Kobe’s recent play “selfish” either, though there have been times in the past where, whether true on not, his game really came off as “one dimensional” or even “selfish”.
Either way, these two dudes are playing at a historical elite level right now, and should all feel lucky to see it.

  • http://www.shawn-kemps-offspring.blogspot.com Eboy

Walsh, you do realize that the Magic manned up and won it while the Nuggets gave their game away right? The Lakers played from behind and got a win, the Cavs led throughout and lost it in the last minute. They were both even performances. It still takes 4 WINS to matter, unless they changed the playoff format, so comparing the two guys Game 1 performances is fair. They were both involved in 2 point games….one went for the win though. One took his first loss in a month. It’s pretty simple actually.

  • http://lacuevacrosscountry.com Slick Nick Da Ruler

Whenever the Kobe lovers expect a huge statement game, Kobe repsonds with a mediocre 23 point game. Sorry fellas, Nuggets by 10 tonight.

  • http://slamonline.com James The Balla

@Star … want a piece of watermelon pie for your troubles?

  • http://ittakesanationofmillionstoholdthissac.blogspot.com ciolkstar

Oh, and congrats to Shard. Dude’s J was sauce in the second half last night. HTown comin dawn!

  • http://www.shawn-kemps-offspring.blogspot.com Eboy

And Justin, I’ve got to be real with you, it’s kind of hard to read some of your posts with that whole Black Eyed Pea-like speak you’re putting out.

  • http://wwe.bbaxn.com Darksaber

the BLACK raptors? Where’s the sense in that? Toronto has black players on it’s roster, right? Anyway just finished re-watching the game and Rashard was pretty cool under pressure, who knew? Also Hedo’s second straight high double digit assist game was….. surprising. Point forwards ladies and gents, the NBA’s version of fool’s gold.

  • http://slamonline.com James The Balla

Slick … lakers by 14. Kobe has 28!

  • http://slamonline.com/ Justin Walsh

ciolkstar, Eboy and anybody else thinking I am calling Bron selfish- I DIDNT. I was saying I don’t think either characterization was fair for the opinion formed by the outcome. I think his game against Detroit where he literally owned the Pistons by himself (remember?) was his best game, yet John Hollinger already said this is his best game ever. And it came in a loss. He also called Bron “our savior” in the piece. I just think that went to far. I’m not saying Bron is trash. That’s stupid. That outing last night was one for the books. I’d put it just below Jordan dropping 60+ against Boston and taking the L

  • http://lastknickstanding.blogspot.com Bryan

Of course the lakers didn’t really win the nuggets lost. F*ck the lakers.

  • http://slamonline.com Russ Bengtson

    Happy birthday, Holly!

  • http://slamonline.com/ Justin Walsh

and how did the cavs not lose this one then Eboy? They had a lead and lost it. Same with the Nuggets. Let’s just agree you have strong hatred for the Lakers and it affects your analysis of anything LA related and I have a strong love for the Lakers and it affects my analysis of the same.

  • http://www.shawn-kemps-offspring.blogspot.com Eboy

No Shia, they won, the Cavs lost, but it’s not the end of each series was what I was trying to convey. You obviously have been reading the rest of the comments to closely and had the dumbness rub off on you for a minute. I understand. BTW, I’m still waiting to see your Myspace page background change to Lakers colors.

  • http://wwe.bbaxn.com Darksaber

love the frequent mentions of Dylan (or Chappelle’s parody version) on slamonline. Only memorable thing to come out of the mess that was “making the band”. Gawd i so do not get the fascination with Sean Combs.

Eboy good answer. Can I have an advice musically of the day? Let’s all download The Grey Album, DJ DangerMouse’s mindmeld of Jay Z’s blackalbum and the Beatles’ White album. Brotherman, it’s so real.

  • http://double-technical.blogspot.com Zee!

Funny thing, right before the Cavs ran the last play Kenny Smith Twittered that they were going to go to Delonte in the corner for a 3. The Cavs did and now all these radio people, and some TV hosts are bringing up that whole Kobe=Selfish versus Lebron=Unselfish argument again. But if a team get’s the W, in the long run does it matter?

  • http://www.shawn-kemps-offspring.blogspot.com Eboy

I had the Grey Album when it first came out, Walsh. It was and still is fantastic

  • http://www.shawn-kemps-offspring.blogspot.com Eboy

There’s always a time to be unselfish. I’d be willing to bet the life of my son that if that was Game 7 of the Finals, Lebron would not have made that pass out.

  • http://ittakesanationofmillionstoholdthissac.blogspot.com ciolkstar

Pietrus was tremendous. Reddick should not get a single minute of burn if it can go to Pietrus/CLee. Dude should be sharing some time at the 3 as well, he did a great job against Bron as well. Man, I really wised SA would’ve signed him last year.

  • http://slamonline.com James The Balla

    B. Long gains entrance with fire. I’m listening to dirt off your shoulder from grey album- also just got DP to download it. It’s outstanding. Eboy, we can agree.

  • bill breedley

bron jockers are worse than kobe jockers. annointing the boy the greatest when he hasn’t won squat. enough of your PER hollinger quotes and stats this stats that. its all about the rings.

cavs as a team choked and live with it. last i heard bron was part of the team so the L is on him too. when team wins its all bec of bron, but when they lose? blame the squad and give bron a get out of jail pass? lame lame lame

  • http://double-technical.blogspot.com Zee!

I think Bron should have taken the shot last night. The whole argument about building team confidence is a moot point because if the confidence isn’t there by the Eastern Conference Finals, I don’t think it’s coming. All said, I still think Cleveland in 6.

  • http://slamonline.com James The Balla

    Bill comes in strong too!!

  • http://where-basketball-b-longs.blogspot.com/ B. Long

That was also possibly the worst officiated game I’ve ever seen in the NBA. Truly pathetic. Dwight Howard couldn’t even look at a Cav with the ball in his hands without a whistle while the Cavs where allowed to climb on Dwight like the kiddie playground at Chucky Cheese.

van gundy might a great sub when he replace courtney lee for alston in the last two mintues because they was running that screen with moe at the top and they switch it they could of not did that with alston just a small detail

Hey Bill, this might come as a surprise to you but a basketball player can be a great player without winning a ring. Check out the fiftiest greatest players list, it’s littered with players who haven’t won a ring. And yes the squad can be blamed because they were the one’s who fell short. Lebron did his part and more.

I hope that Mike Bron will swith up the rotations. Z can’t handle quickness, I’d play him as much as Phil played Bynum vs UTH. Play Bron more at the 4, let Andy defend against Dwight. Bring Joe Smith, Wally and Sasha off the bench. Sasha can actually defend. Crisp 8-man rotation, sorry Boobie and Big Ben. Playing Bron at the 4 is not really going small, after all.

  • http://lastknickstanding.blogspot.com Bryan

Sorry e I just think the anti laker bias borders on fox news vs. Liberals level. Its unreal. There is never a valid reason or excuse for the lakers to lose but anytime the cavs lose everyone is quick to make en excuse. To be fair the laker lovers aren’t any better but its not just cavs fans that bash the lakers its every other fan out there.

  • http://slamonline.com/ Justin Walsh

@BET, I have no idea. I’m a weirdo. And actually it’s because the breaking and entering thing is a bit of a non story. I actually brought the charge to Ryne’s attention, so technically I already have. But the fact is, he didn’t break into some residential house with family in it to steal stuff. He broke into a totally empty, foreclosed house with a guy and a girl. BET, take a wild guess why, it doesn’t take a genius to get the reason. To me it’s actually a dumb charge. I get the law, I respect it, but it’s not like Wall broke in my house to steal laptops. Wall’s a good kid far as I’ve been able to glean in person. And even if he gets convicted, it’s a misdemeanor so it doesn’t hold near as much weight as Lance Stephenson’s sexual assault court case.

Nothing much, BET. That Cleveland game yesterday was sick. Time for some good old small talk? Whatcha doin’?

  • Harlem_World

Delonte West hits the open 3 and this its 1-0 Cavs and everyone talking about one of the best playoff performances ever. Bron is no joke. Nuggets gave game 1 to the Lakers, Lakers didn’t take it. Credit where its due, Shard balled a little closer to his contract last night. BUT why in the hell was VaraeSLO guarding him for the drive? You got to know he’s going for the 3? Push up on him and force him for the drive. Magic match up well with Cavs, but if the supporting cast come to play even at 50%, the Cavs are going to the finals. Loving Melo’s game right now.

  • http://hibachi20.blogspot.com/ BETCATS

@Justin: yeah, thats all people are talking about here, and the police say they are going to pursue this case. We shall see, and yeah, you got the reason right, they were gonna have a 3some. @ Moose: i watched the entire thing. I am in CPU APPS 2 right now, being bored.

  • http://hibachi20.blogspot.com/ Moose

Computer stuff? This is way more interesting…so I forgot…are you on the Bron side or the Kobe side?

  • http://sfdjilf.com Jukai

Sorry, everyone knows I’m a huge Cavs fan, and I gotta say:
Lebron shoudl NOT have passed to Delonte for that last shot.
Dwight was not in, you have just burned by Rashard, you GO AT GORTAT AND TRY AND JAM THE BALL INTO THE HOLE!
You think the refs are going to call and offensive foul? Damn, no!
I wonder if this play was drawn up by Brown. I’m not saying that he told Lebron to pass it (I’m sure he didn’t) but he definitely designed a play where Delonte would be open, and if Lebron needed to pass it out, he could pass it out. I just have no idea why Lebron wouldn’t have taken that shot.
    Blef.

  • http://hibachi20.blogspot.com/ BETCATS

well who do i like: Ballhog r@pist or someone who r@pes ballhogs. Lebron all day! And yes, Lebron did r@pe ballhogs. Darius Miles and Ricky Davis asked to be traded because they knew Lebron was going to take shots away and prevent them from putting up ‘big’ numbers like they did the previous season, in which the Cavs sucked.

  • http://hibachi20.blogspot.com/ BETCATS

Jukai: Lebron passed to Mo who passed to Prison Break West. He thought Mo would win the game, Mo thought Delonte would. Oh well.

BET, you’ve been missed around here for a bit. Moose, you too.

  • Harlem_World

Jukai, if you watched the play, he lost his feet after Pietrus went to the floor and passed to Mo, who then went to the open West. Given the circumstances it was the right play.

Eboy, I haven’t been posting enough? OK, I’ll step up my game a bit more. Thanks for missing me.

do you thinks there is not. Magic Lose 10point lead “oh Callpase, choke, they dont handle adversity well” Cavs lost a 16 point lead and nobodys saying anything.
“well they almost won and LeBron did what he could” Did you forget how outragous the first half was that was momentum to bury the Magic for the Sweep. I said if the Magic go down by 20 im going to bed thats how the night looked but nobody’s saying nuthin’. Tim Leggler, Jon Barry, Reggie Miller, and Kenny Smiths are idiots and Biased reporters

    great point

  • http://sfdjilf.com Jukai

Clearly passing to Delonte wasn’t the right play, you know, because they lost. Cavs choked, bottom line.

  • Harlem_World

Coik, you’re thinking of the shot West made. The one he missed came from the skip pass from Mo after Bron kicked it out.

  • Harlem_World

Jukai, by that reasoning, when Big Baby Davis hit the winner against the Magic in Orlando, that wasn’t the right play either? The first option on that play was PP, second option Ray and BBD as third option on the kick. The first option was Bron, then Mo on the kick then Delonte on the skip. Any 3 of those shots should/could have got the win. Right play, but West just got to make the shot.

  • http://sfdjilf.com Jukai

Harlem: Big Baby hit the shot, so it WAS the right play. Delonte missed the shot, so it was the WRONG play. A play that they knocked down would have been the right play.
    Pierce is no Lebron.

  • http://ittakesanationofmillionstoholdthissac.blogspot.com ciolkstar

Yeah, I think you may be right about Mo passing to ‘Lonte, Harlem_World. And I’m pretty sure Jukai was being sarcastic…

  • http://www.manutd.com Z

Jukai, I think Bron’s first option was to take that all the way. If you remember, someone feel down in front of him, he kinda lost his footing and then he was almost on the baseline with two guys on him and no momentum. Sh!t happens. Maybe he should have taken a pull up. His midrange J was west last nite.

  • http://hibachi20.blogspot.com/ Moose

Guys, Bron passed it, Delonte made the hoop, it was three points instead of two, IT’S OVER.

whats good with some open runs in the city? im tryin to play!!!!

  • http://hibachi20.blogspot.com/ Moose

Thanks. Going out to do just that right now…

  • breeze

    what city?

  • bill breedley

Eric – to each his own. respect your perception of great, but in my book superstar with no ring = not a great player when it’s all said and done.

watching classic nba so many “greats” with no rings. match these greats against their contemporaries like the logo, russ, kareem, magic, bird, and the like and for some reason they just ain’t as great as you first thought.

  • breeze

LEBRON SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE LAST SHOT THATS WHAT ..BIG TIME PLAYERS DO

  • Michaelbchnn

I really believe Orlando can win this series. The matchups are just great. The Cavs are a damn good defensive team, and one of their strenghts is defending the three. The problem they have is that Orlando’s two best three point shooters are both 6’10 guys one who can post up the smaller guys the cav’s have and the other who handles the ball like a pg.

    Lebrick Shames!

  • bill breedley

the cramp drama in the end made me wet my pants. that was down right silly pathetic. man up and don’t be a wuss. love how BSPN zooms on the baby cut and wastes airtime showing lebron whince bec of the “cramps”. lame lame lame

  • bill breedley

Michaelbchnn – if they had a better coach Magic would be a lock this year. I think only a healthy Boston matches well man for man with the lineup of Howard, Hedo and Shard. Those boys got skills.

  • http://slam warr

jerry west he and elgin baylor the greatest losers in nba history

  • breeze

if hedo can play better this will not be a one point win….

  • Eric

Bill, who did Russ, kareem, Bird and Magic play with? They were not great by theirselves. Lebron in no way, shape or form has the talent around him that Bird or Magic had. The same can be said about your boy Duncan. He had major help also.

Wincing from cramps makes someone a wuss? Bill you are funny.

  • http://www.alllooksame.com Tarzan Cooper

out in the streets they call it MUUUUURRRDDEEEERRR!!!!!

  • http://slam warr

eric i got a better one for u look who were their coaches… Coach brown needs to coach juco basketball his offensive system is terrible

  • http://slamonline.com cb 34

Bill: You’re stupid for thinking that lebron is a wuss because dude cramped up. The man was doing everything tonight but his teammates were just off. Apart from the 3 free throws he missed in the 4th, he hardly did anything wrong. Bron bashers would say that prison break west shouldn’t have had the last shot but it was the right play. They’ve been running that play for a while now. When west hit that 3 last year against the wiz nobody was complaining. Bron lost tonight but he’s still getting the chip this year. That’s that. Deal with it.

  • http://www.kb24.com The Seed

cb 34, I am not a Lebron basher, but Lebron should have taken the last shot, he was hitting all night, his jay looked wet every time he shot and on the biggest play you drive looking to jump into someone for and 1, couldn’t pass to delonte west, when you have been shooting lights out 20-30. Come on. I feel he should have shot with no time left on the clock to win the game. Hes a superstar, so do it. Also Lebron was acting wimpy at the end of the game, he didn’t act hurt on that jump ball, where the ref let him stand with both feet behind line to win toss. Then they lose and he can’t walk-FUNNY, if Mo would have hit that shot he would have ran to Mo and picked him up, everyone knows this. but these new Lebron fans, will say no. COME ON!!.

  • http://sportzin.com Joey E.

lol it was funny listening to a reporter after the game. “LeBron had cramps and was bleeding” hmmmmm

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s35kBpvxfsc&feature=related James the balla

    hahaha

  • http://sfdjilf.com Jukai

cb34: The Seed is actually a very well known Lebron basher. Just telling you.

  • http://www.alllooksame.com Tarzan Cooper

WHERE ARE ALL THOSE HATERS WHO SAID SHARD WASNT WORTH THAT CONTRACT???? HE HIT CLUTCH SHOT AFTER CLUTCH SHOT.

  • http://nicekicks.com MeloMan13

@ James: when did the Lakers become underdogs??
@ Albert Barr: i did watch the game and i’ve watched enough Magic games to realize that they’re team consists of a) Dwight dunking or b) anyone else shooting threes. to me, watching this over and over is definetly BORING
@Dark: they do exactly what the raptors do, substitute dwight dunking for occasional Cb4 postups.
and one of the major complaints of raptors fans, atleast urban raptors fans, is that they dont have any, or have very few black players

    Happy Burfday Holly!!

  • http://ittakesanationofmillionstoholdthissac.blogspot.com ciolkstar

I thought the “Black Raptors” line was funny

  • AlbertBarr

@MeloMan: Yes, the magic strategy is Dwight dunkin or threes but they dont do it just “standing around”… this is what I took complaint at…last night they were moving the ball quite well and they had active guys all over the court.

  • AlbertBarr

Perhaps “standing around at the three-point line WHEN they are ready to catch and shoot” is a more appropriate description of their offense.

  • AlbertBarr

Now the cavaliers…they stand around…and watch LeBron.

  • AlbertBarr

Which is fun to watch, I admit…

  • http://nicekicks.com MeloMan13

yea, but its just one or two dribbles, pull-up or dish to an open three. sounds alot like their canadian counterparts to me

  • http://nicekicks.com MeloMan13

and i agree with u, the Cavs are pretty much the same thing, which makes this one boring series…inless every game is decided by two points

  • AlbertBarr

Im so glad it turned into a game last night…when the cavs got up like 14-2 or whatev I was not excited. Hopefully we will have a third awesome night of basketball in a row…Go Nuggs! (yet I still want a close game).

oopssey. Sholda only put oncee… thot it idn’t p;ost at fiirstss.

The question of who is better NOW between kobe and lebron was answered when lebron won the MVP and his 0dominance and numbers don’t lie and can’t be argued with, lebron will smash almost every statistical record in the game but… one can’t help but wonder, if it were kobe’s team down by one, on his way to 50 points, shooting close to 70% from the field, ball in hand during the closing seconds… we all know what kobe would do in this situation, we saw it the other night, he’s either gonna shoot, miss and they lose or he makes it and they win, or gets to the line and they win, no argument… bron said it best in the press conference… his stats don’t matter unless they get the win… lets bring mj to the table… sure he passed to the ball to his team mates in crucial situations to paxon and kerr… but not the last shot on the biggest stage… as we saw over the last 2 nights, the reason basketball is so exciting to watch is coz 2 teams can go at it as hard as they want for 48 minutes but the game can be won or lost in final minutes or closing seconds this game being the latter. I know bron’s always been an unselfish player, but if you look at his size, his strength, his quickness, his hops and his shooting range, the MVP of the league… he’s already scored 49 only missed 10 shots… i don’t think anyone in the world would of considered it selfish for him to shoot that one, i personally was disappointed and dumb founded that he didn’t… even if the pass was the correct play, i didn’t watch the game to ‘witnees’ mo williams.

Retard Lewis looks like a skinnier Kendrick Perkins.

  • Tuomas

I wasn’t able to catch the game, but I did see a photo of Varejao lying on the floor, grabbing his throat. I just hope it ACTUALLY hurt this time. You know, because he never fakes or anything.

  • George B

great games. its worth waking up at 4am. in this part of the world, one needs to wake up at 4am to watch an NBA game live.

  • larrylegend

anyone recognized how the cavs bench act when they were up by 15Pts.? that’s why they won’t win the chip; as great as lbj is, one man can’t do it alone.
