Nerlens Noel, Jason Terry, Isaiah Thomas Team Up For Reebok

A few weeks ago, word leaked that rookie center Nerlens Noel had joined forces with Reebok Basketball. Now, we have more information about his first ad campaign with the Canton, MA, based company.

Via a press release from Reebok:

Reebok gives a glimpse behind the scenes at its highly anticipated new performance basketball campaign – Game Recognize Game.  Featuring Reebok athletes Isaiah Thomas (Sacramento Kings) and Jason Terry (Brooklyn Nets), the campaign marks top draft pick, Nerlens Noel’s debut with the brand.  A true trendsetter both on and off the court, Noel’s throwback look draws comparisons to some of basketball’s greatest.  Noel (Philadelphia 76ers) brings his young energy and trademark style to Reebok Basketball where he will be among the first to debut Reebok’s heritage inspired performance basketball collection – Q96 and The Pumpspective.

Injured kid, new point guard, and an old man who runs his mouth. I think I’ll stick with Adidas

  • Dfrance

You do now they’re the same company right?

  • Dfrance

Wonder why they moved John Wall over to Adidas from Reebok if they are still into basketball?

you just answered your own question that u posted above. reebok just doesn’t sell, unless it’s AI. i guess they felt Wall was about to blow up and realized they will profit more from him pushing an adidas shoe

  • Dfrance

Well when it happened it was reported that they were moving away from the performance basketball business to focus on retros and the hip hop scene. But they’re still signing athletes. They didn’t even give Wall a signature on adidas. I just thought it was somewhat of a demotion.

when i seen that AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! i instantly thought about that cartoon AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Real Monsters.lol

immediately after that report came out the Reebok director of basketball said that was false.
    .
and i think the marketing/development departments are different. they actually compete with each other for athletes, like Jordan and Nike do.

  • Busta213

Hmmm – was Wade a shoe free agent when he switched from Converse to Jordan?

  • http://twitter.com/sooperfadeaway nbk

here is the story behind the Converse thing, http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4335441

I think he was lying. If you notice what they are doing now is signing athletes and having them wear retro or retro inspired kicks. No new tech. With Wall they had him pushing that Zig Tech crappolla.

Zig Tech Basketball was a big flop. Wall said eff you I’m not wearing Reebok pumps, so they switched him to adidas. Reebok was just trying to save face by saying the report was false.

  • Dfrance

He really looks like a totally different person without a headband. lol

  • Dfrance

  • Dfrance

    Helluva percentage right there. lol

  • Max

Ah yeah, I just assumed they signed the 3 of them because the other two are so young.
