Slamadaday: Tyrus Thomas on Jermaine O’Neal

The end of a career.

Okay, we admit, this isn’t today’s Slamadaday. It’s not even this weekend’s best facial. Add this to the Wilson Chandler bang in October, and Jermaine is giving Emeka Okafor a run for his perennial “Most Dunked On” award.

i like this better than the smith over nash one. thomas seriously drops the hammer on a supposed shot blocker and puts his ass on the floor.

It looks even better from the baseline angle, that was nasty

The Tyrus Thomas special—block on one end, dunk on the other. Been doing it since he came into the League.

i wish i could trade him to the 2006 PHX suns.

Even though JO won my award for the galaxy’s most overrated player, at least he attemps to play defense. Most big men would do a cowardly 2-Step out of the way.

I don’t see how dunks such as these are “oohhhh” moments; I mean JO at least jumped and TRIED to block it. If he just stood there and tried to take the charge like a soft b*tch then that would be an “ohhhh” moment.

Um, just so you know, Thomas and JO have their feet tangled when they land- thats why JO fell, not because of the impact of the dunk- which was pretty cool though.
Who saved the ball from going out on the defensive end? That deserves a mention.

  • MeloMan13

it was nice but i give JO credit.
no matter how many times he gets banged on, he still tries for the shot block

  • dookie

Seems to me that the impact of the dunk was still a considerable factor in JO falling.

I’m guessing it was Deng who saved the ball?

Anton….What?….No the fact that someone contested it is what made it all that much more better…?? By your reasoning, dunking all on your own in a quite dark gym would be a highlight of the year…
The more hurdles you need to overcome to achieve a set goal makes the success that much more glorious. Dunking over a shot block attempt > dunking over a guy standing doing nothing.

  • slamfan4life

I can’t believe some people are goin like “i dont see the ohhh” are you guys joking?? thats amazing how one guy can literally jump-over another

man whats goin on when people dont even enjoy dunks anymore………
