Last time i checked, Kobe is the number 1 favorite player in China.

Smush better pray that no chinese ever heard this or else he would be unemployed again. even in China.

  • Teddy-the-Bear

@ bulldog: You aren’t funny. Please, don’t ever post again. That was brutal, bull.

  • ka

who the hell is this guy derrick fisher?!!

  • ka

eh, he was just being real. its not like hes saying kobes a bad player/overrated, he just didnt enjoy the experience, aint nothing wrong with that. total lack of diplomacy yeah and prolly part o the reason hes out of the league, but thats his opinion and hes the right to it.

  • chintao

@ truthteller ==> I make no secret of my hate for Kobe. My statement, however, is based on percentages (most ballers, just like most regular people, are fvcking d*cks) and Kobe’s own pompous words and deeds, which KB-riders tend to overlook in favor of his on-court performance. There’s nothing wrong with saying Kobe is a great player, but let’s not become so enamored by his skill with a basketball that we let it cloud our judgment of him as a rapist… uh, I mean, human being.

  • truthteller

    Cintao,
It’s funny how you call people “kobe riders” because they don’t agree with your bulls%^$&, I mean “percentages”! You don’t like him and it shows! If Smush had said Kobe was the best teammate he ever played with, you would still have something negative to say, ’cause you wouldn’t buy it! Am I wrong on this one! You and people like you are worse than the so called “Kobe-riders” ’cause at least they give him the props he deserves because at bottom line is, a lot of us have never met Kobe and a lot of us never will and what he does has nothing to do with us and or lives! So why do you care if he’s a nice guy or not?

  • truthteller

After all, MJ wasn’t a nice guy but he all adore him! Or are you a MJ hater too?

  • Jackie Moon

@Chintao – you must also judge people’s characteristics by the color of their skin, “based on percentages”.

  • chintao

@ Jackie Moon ==> … only white people.

  • chintao

@ truthteller ==> I hate Jordan even more than Kobe, if that’s possible. All I’m saying is, just because you respect someone’s game, it doesn’t mean that you have to respect him as a human being (or a teammate, in Smush’s case). If Smush had credited Kobe with being a great teammate, I would be skeptical. Still, I would not shout-down his right to express that opinion, as many who have commented here have (these are the people that I refer to as Kobe-riders). Until Kobe does something more to indicate that he is not a selfish, egomaniacal, shameless self-promoting a$$hole, I will maintain my hatred. Grudgingly, I must admit that he took a small step in the right direction when he defended Ariza after that Iguodala buzzer-beater the other day. A few more worthy deeds like that, and I may need to rethink things. Until then though, “Ballhog-Rapist”.

  • chintao

@ Kobe Bryant Posted: Mar.17 at 2:14 pm ==> It is amusing (and so typically ignorant) that a Kobe-rider would borrow from Nas, when Nas actually ethered Kobe on his “Street’s Disciple” album(“These Are Our Heroes”).

  • ralphredimix

AHAHAHA PG hilight reel with no dimes!!!

  • chintao

    Chintao,
You do have a right to your opinion and trust me, I’m not writing this because you don’t like Kobe ’cause you don’t have to. Why I’m getting on your case and people like you is because you try to justify your “hate” by bogus facts and reasons! If you don’t like the guy well damn just say you don’t like him and move on1 Stop giving stupid reasons and making stuff up as to why you don’t like him. I call you and people like you haters ’cause it doesn’t matter what he does you will still hate him so stop acting like you would hange your opinion if he did something really special! This is what I hate! have some balls and just say, “I hate the guy and never will like him.” Here’s a fact for you: I’ve actually met Kobe and he isn’t the asshole you and a lot of people think he is. He is actually one of the nicest and one of the most intelligent people you will find in the NBA or even in sports period! And that’s real talk!

    Also,
I have alot of buddieswho are from New York who know Smush. And they say Smush is a real ass$%#@! The same guy who’s talking in the video clip about Kobe! So, you be the judge!

  • chintao

Thanks for your insight, truthteller. Thing is, I already said that I hate Kobe in my first post on this thread. However, it is also a fact that I would change my mind about him, if I had some evidence that contradicted my current opinion. You have not presented any such information. You have presented opinions (some in the form of hearsay). Ryan Jones weighed-in as a character witness for Smush at Mar.16 at 2:44 pm. Forgive me if I take his opinion more seriously than yours. Also, one could easily flip what you wrote in your second-to-last post: “Why don’t you grow some balls and just admit that you are a Kobe-rider, and that you will suck his d*ck no matter what?” Accordingly, I’m going to have to stick with my original judgment on this one.

  • truthteller

    Chintao,
That was a good one. I already grew a pair and in case you were wondering how big they were; I’m not a Lakers fan! I’m a Detroit Pistons fan and an NBA fan in general who just loves the game and I’m just saying it how I see it. The reason why I’ve been writing what I’ve been writing is because I see a lot of people like you everyday, all the time and it’s disgusting! And you keep proving my point time and time again! You won’t take my opinion about Smush because it’s mere hearsay, right? And also because you trust Ryan’s opinion over mine ’cause he’s actually MET him, right? Yet, you won’t take my opinion about Kobe and I just told you that I’ve actually met the guy! So, you’ve just proved that you will never change your opinion about kobe which is cool but at least just admit it and stop giving us bogus reasons to justify your hate when you know it’s all crap. And tell all your friends to do the same. That’s all I’m saying!

  • truthteller

    CHINTAO,
Stop lying too! You don’t hate MJ! Yeah right!

  • chintao

Seriously. FU(K an MJ. Do you know how many posts I have written about his father’s suspicious death? Actually, you wouldn’t, because they always get moderated. Let’s just say, that I believe Jordan has a VERY serious gambling problem that someone did not let slide.

  • chintao

Also, Kobe has a body of work as a ballhog-rapist. It is difficult for me to throw everything that I have heard over many years out the window. It is difficult for me to ignore the manner in which he has conducted himself in the public eye. That’s why I am loathe to take your opinion on Kobe as gospel. Besides, while you say that you have met Kobe, you also said on Mar.18 at 9:23 am, “… a lot of us have never met Kobe and a lot of us never will and what he does has nothing to do with us and or lives!” That implies that you may be lying about having met KB.

Anyway, there’s always time for someone to change. I hope that both you and Bryant see the errors of your ways; however, that usually is just not the way people work. Good luck, though.

  • truthteller

    Chintao,
I would really love to continue this conversation but I can see it’s not going anywhere productive ’cause as you put it “you’re stuck in the error of your ways.” You only listen and believe people who support your views and discard anyone who doesn’t. It’s that simple and that’s very sad but not uncommon. But I wish you the best of luck. Maybe you’ll grow up one of theses days and realise that just ’cause you hate someone it doesn’t mean that that person is terrible. It’s okay to not like somebody for no reason. Really, it’s okay! You don’t have to present us with crap to justify your reason for hating that person. (that’s my issue with you) And let me get this straight, you hate MJ because of his “gambling problem?” And you expect me to believe that? I really think you must be a priest or a monk or something. And even if you were I would still think you were full of s$%#! Stop it already! Please just stop it!

  • chintao

The reason this conversation doesn’t appear to be going anyplace is that you are attempting to tell me about myself. If you focused on an issue, you might have better luck in persuading me of whatever your point might be. Regarding my twin hatreds for Kobe and MJ, they spring from the same root. Most people agree that Kobe has (with some successes, but also some notable failures) attempted to ape Jordan. The apparent self-centered, politically unconscious, disingenuous, naked salesmanship with which they approach every facet of their lives is the real reason for my hate. They define the term “sell-out”. If these boys ever had souls, they pawned them long ago for a pack of Newports and some Puma sweats. In my opinion, the only people who could connect with such used-car-selling automotons are worthless pods, stuck in the matrix. Take the blue pill, truthteller.

  • truthteller

    cintao,
Cintao, Cintao, Cintao. I’m not trying to tell you about yourself. You are telling me about yourself and I’m just reiterating what you’re saying! You’re giving me some really valid points but I just can’t buy it. And I could be wrong and you’re probably sincere but I’ve seen way too many people claiming morality and they are just full of it! They just don’t like that person and rather than just coming out and saying it, they start claiming all kinds of moral codes and crap like that to justify their hate. But if you really feel strong about this than hey, I don’t have any right to get on you and my bad! I have strong views similar to yours as well I just don’t let it affect my love for sports ’cause I don’t take sports -even though I love it, too seriously! And by the way, you got any green pills?

  • chintao

Sorry, guy. I’m not really into pharmaceuticals. Basically, for me, sports is an extension of life. I can’t support players that I would not want to kick it with in real life. That’s why, although I have been a Knicks fan my entire existence, I find it difficult to get any joy out of their (infrequent) victories these days. Out of everybody on the roster, only Wilson Chandler, Nate Robinson, and David Lee seem cool to me.

  • chintao

Also, regarding people who “just hate”, what stirs these emotions. Surely, the feelings must have some sort of basis?

  • truthteller

    Chintao,
That’s my point! They have no basis. I don’t know anybody online but I know a lot of people personally who just don’t like the guy and have no real basis! That’s what’s so amazing! We love other players for possessing the same qualities that we hate in Kobe! Amazing, ain’t it?

  • chintao

Hmmm. Well, as far as I can tell, the players that I like don’t carry it like Kobe, MJ, or Le Bron. Honestly, I’d have been happier if none of those guys ever came up.

  • joemomma

Who wastes this much time talking about Smush Parker?
