Video: Rafer Alston Will Slap You

Especially if you happen to be Eddie House.

Skip to My Lou turned into Rick James last night, getting slap-happy with Eddie House. This came after House drained yet another three-bomb in his grill (on his way to a game-high 31 points), evidently upsetting Alston to the point where he felt it necessary to slap Eddie.

    @ Teddy ==> If by “every”, you mean the Waterboy, WWJD Ward, Chris Doo-doo-hon, then you are correct, sir. On the rest of the guys, my feelings range from “meh” to crystal meth-induced, passion heart attack.

    This is all Gary Payton’s fault. Anybody else watch NBA TV highlights in studio with GP and CWebb this season? Gary says “Hit em in the head!” during 3-pt highlights, including during Eddie House’s barrages(or if a few here and there in highlights are considered a barrage, when that last game was a clinic so he had the right to be all hyped).

    Clearly, Alston simply noticed the the NBA logo on Eddie’s headband was not perfectly centered on the side of his head, and just did him the favour. What does he get for this kindly, and might I add efficiently executed gesture, but a suspension? Clearly the NBA does not understand the finer points of comradery.

    I wonder what would happen if this was a streetball game, i know for a fact Eddie won’t be talkin’ all that trash or Skip might go all Peeler on him!

    Yes yes yes, we know. Rondo did this and that but the difference is that Rondo’s dumb moves were in the context of the game (in the flow) NOT a hilarious slap upside the head (it was funny) It’s not that the Celtics are the cream, LA is a storied franchise and Kobe didn’t get ejected or suspended yet Fisher did. WHY? Because Kobe’s elbow was in the flow of the game and below the shoulders and Fishers elbow was “premeditated” and meant to harm. Same team different results. I wouldn’t have complained if Rondo got suspended but stop “whining” already. E House did give skip an elbow but how hard was it really? He barely moved Skip, Skip was just pissed b/c he was getting done. PERIOD.

I don’t have a problem with it but you can’t complain about 1 guy when league wide it happens. There are only a few players who don’t do it and even fewer superstars. (Duncan & Kobe to name 2) E House may be a journey man but he contributed last year and this year.

    *sigh* Kobe didn’t hit Ron anywhere near his face t was a box out below the neck area, there’s a pic that shows Ron engaging his elbow into Kobe’s head. Some of you guys are reaching for sh-t just to reach. And I find it hilarious some of are trying to make the “Well it’s not as bad as” argument. Even one blinded by partisan hating like yourself and others should understand that. See how I switched that around? The bias is hilarious as well.

    @ Nw09 ==> I saw elbow to neck/jaw area. Nevertheless, regardless of where it landed, the elbow was a move that could have cause serious injury. A headslap such as the one under consideration here, could not possibly injure anyone. There is a major difference in both intent and consequence. See how you can’t switch that around?
