For Old Time’s Sake: Killa Crossover

Anybody over 20 should remember this epic shake-n-bake. AI’s crossover in general, not just on MJ, was perhaps the most famous signature move of the late 90′s. Boy was fast as lightning. See for yourself (1 more time).

Jamal Crawford’s crossovers make me giggle like a school girl. Timmy Hardaway’s were just so…tight. AI helped evolved basketball; that’s how nice his crosses were.
You guys are going to think I’m crazy, but I got to see Troy Hudson at MSG when he was on the Clips, and the crosses he pulled on the Knicks that day were…unreal.
This cross, though…it’s not about how great it was, because it was only ‘good’. It was that Iverson went at the best and got him. It showed us that there’s a new kid on the block, and he can go at anyone. It showed us that the game never stops.
(I think Jordan played good D, though! Got him to take a contested and fading long 2!!)

Yeah, it was a carry. But he did palm the ball during the dribble. I’m not sure when they introduced the palming violations but supposedly AI was a big reason for the NBA to introduce the rule. Of course, it’s ironic that Jordan was a big ball “palmer” during his prime. It’s just kind of sad that was labelled as the “Killa Crossover” despite Hardaway’s crossover was more frequently called that. I do love how AI sets this move up, test whether MJ would bite for the fake, pull back, do it again and BAM! And both times MJ reacted the same way to the cross.

He got MJ no doubt, but you can’t do crossovers like that no more the league calls carry now, unless you are Lebron. But MJ didnt get it as bad as other cats in the league, due to good D, but the Cross is more epic cuz its MJ anyone else it wouldnt be as hyped, MJ still the GOAT but for that moment he was average
btw those guys bringing up other guys who gave MJ the business , where are those players now lol

I have 2 admit. When I 1st saw this I was 16 yrs old and I didn’t like it 1 bit(since then I’ve seen it countless times) And I wasn’t an AI fan. And that was the leader of my team that he just shook. But as yrs went by I respected AI cuz he was a warrior. No quit n his game(unless we talkin about practice)2 look back and c that play again u get nostalgic. And u feel old. Cuz AI was a bad man back then and 2 c him now its hard not 2 miss the AI of old

O yeah. Rookie white chocolate on gp was sick! All gp could do was watch jwill blow by him. My favorite crossover of all time. AI took the croosover 2 whole nother level. But the tru crossover king was and always will b timmy
