Video: Evan Turner Crosses Up Dwyane Wade

Wade and the Heat may have won the war against the Sixers last night, but who cares about any of that? What truly matters is that rookie Evan Turner shook the artist formerly known as Flash something nasty:

Yeah that was a sick cross ,but I think D-wade went right back at him and scored

Too bad the 14 year that taped it didn’t keep the camera rolling to the next possession, Wade blew past homeboy and put in a beautiful reverse layup. BTW, who films a basketball game while they are watching it?

  • add

reminds of what ai did to mj

  • MoGotti2

lol @ Heat fans mad..you won the game & Wade goes hard but so does Turner..shook him something nice!

  • Etheknickfan

BTW, who films a basketball game while they are watching it?…….. I was wondering the exact same thing.

  • Abaci

    Mr. Turner if you’re nasty!!!

  • http://SLAMonline.com GotHandles?

pretty ill that it was right of his hands without a dribble

  • whoooo!

some ppl film games to stream them online to sites like justintv and all, for those too cheap to buy league pass. that was a nice cross, but who/what was Wade looking at with his arms up after that?

  • Sizzle

If you watched the broadcast on comcast, it was great because Eric Snow said “Dwayne Wade got me a few times, glad to see someone get him back.” What Wade did to E-Snow a few years back was unbelievable. It looked like a ghost shove E-snow as he flew like 10 feet on Wade’s move. CRAZY. ET looked alright though.

i’m sure it was filmed like that to avoid having it taken down from youtube. if you film it playing on a tv you avoid copyright claims.

  • JD

    Wade took it well enough

I saw this game and this clip is not even worth showing, cause Evan Turner didn’t really do a damn in this game. I know he had some okay stats. But he was really a non-factor in the game and still unimpressive (though better than he was in the summer). Don’t believe all the comeback hype for cable sports networks and others, yet.

Wade, well looked like Wade. I’m sure he’ll continue to get better.

Not that you can accurately measure this sort of thing, but he might be the most confident rookie in NBA history.

Nice move.. He shook him, I wouldnt say he broke his ankles, was nice though..

    Li Ning is smiling somewhere.

  • balls

he’s looking at the coach after the play with his hands up like “what did you want me to do?” isolated, one on one, wade didn’t want to let him drive in. easy crossover, pull up jumper. unstoppable.

  • jdubbs29

uh, that’s a travel. If you start your shake and bake move without a dribble, that’s a travel. Should have been called.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

definately a travel. Right before the dribble he picks up his pivot foot.

  • LD

I like how they watch it on DVR, rewind it, point a camera at the TV, play it back, and still add the fake “oooohhhh” like they just saw it for the first time. I also like how this is the best footage that Slam could find on the internet.

A travel? In the NBA? You sure man?

  • Flight

    Wigga Wade! Wigga Wade!

  • Michael

    nice cross

  • KennyD

He’s my pic for Rookie of the year

  • MSL

    Was that a cross over?

Wasn’t that more a cross fade (or side step). Certainly not a break of the ankles.

  • OSUFAn

Thats his go to move he did that at Ohio State all the time its unstoppable

  • IHaveADream

This is nothing compared to what AI did to Mike. The refs usually call that a travel, I’m surprised they didn’t on this play.

  • robb

Sorry KennyD but Blake Griffin’s gonna be R.O.Y. Nice move though.

  • Jacob (from Australia)

If people are calling ROY and ‘most confident’ rookie, then none of them watched the Clippers game. Blake Griffin is scary good.

  • http://twitter.com/HarryByrdMan44 LA Huey

I’ve watched the video several times and fail to see much more than a quick move countered by lazy defense

  • Jackie Moon

    Not that impressive.

  • Jelte

    One move, so what?

  • http://twincityslim@yahoo.com Jahi

    Nasty, AI is proud.

  • marc

It doesn’t look like a travel. It looks like his pivot foot does not move. Nice move

  • http://www.need4sheed.com Tarzan Cooper

confident????? this was nothing, not really even a crossover. whatever

  • http://www.insightsportx.com.com Guardman

Great combo move! He set Dwade up nice he showed great NBA patient for a Rookie. He caught Dwade sleepin with his hands downs. Like our boy Mark J.says Hands down Man ???? Insightsportx
