you dropped a bomb on me!!

  • http://minusthebars.blogspot.com don

Check out LeBron James biting fingernails afterwards. Lol.

  • Petar

Breaking news: LeBron will go to the Celtics or the Lakers next year, mainly because Pat Riley didn’t surround him with good enough players!!!

  • http://juanm.garcia@comcast.net Flashback

Every power foward in the league has to lick their chops when they see the Heat roll in to town.

  • JTaylor21

Uhm, great shot but why not foul there when you have a foul to give? Pat Riley come on dowwwwwwwwwn!!! you are the next coach.

  • http://www.dimemag.com Royal

That was good defense , just better offense….

  • sample

@royal uhhmm good defense? they have 1 foul to give and they didn’t use it.

  • http://www.slamonline.com J

    Damn. Here’s my observation:
Again in this loss, Miami has been OUTREBOUNDED and OUTSCORED in the paint. AGAIN. Where Z-Bo didn’t even play the 1st quarter.
Mike Conley is playing better than you (16 5 and 6). That means you’re the worst PG in the league.
This 2 things has been since Day 1. Memphis should have no biz in winning this.. AT ALL. This is what Riles is talking about.. beat teams that you should beat. Every single team will bring their best with them.. Miami should have the mindset that they have something to prove.. EVERY F*NG GAME. Great shot anyway..

  • http://www.slamonline.com J

On the positive note: LeBron and Bosh is starting to work out fluidly these past few games. That’s great news.

  • http://www.slamonline.com J

Since the first in-season trade already broke in.. I got an idea on some prospects Miami could target to address the PG situation. TJ Ford or Luke Ridnour. Both can actually play the point. Can SHOOT. Can orchestrate an offense or push the tempo. Ford will lose PT when Collison comes back, and Ridnour is being wasted in Minny. I don’t know about either contract but they could fit sweet and sound in Miami. I hope Riles is cooking sumthin’.

  • LD

Does LeBron still wear a Yankees hat everywhere? Is he averaging a triple double? Can Miami can still win 72 games?

  • Jackie Moon

    Lebron needs more help!

  • http://juanm.garcia@comcast.net Flashback
  • http://www.twitter.com/TheDiesel Anton

^Just wait till Mike Miller gets back.

  • LA Huey

Just a good shot. LeBron could have used the foul to give but he still recovered after being screened by Big Z’s man.

  • Noel

    That was sick

  • Pharoah

That was sick by Gay and the mean muggin to the Heat bench was dope

  • zarky

its such a joy to watch Le______ fail.

  • http://www.slamonline.com James the Balla

    Suck on that bron … : D!!

  • ShadiestBen

all that 72 win hyperbole looks ridiculous now. Regardless considering they didn’t foul it was good D by LeBron. Just better offense as some1 else said and ripped from Mark Jackson.
Luke Ridnour is not wasted in Minny they need a vet he’s just nt at full health yet. Minny are on the come up and are going to beat okc in okc tomorrow night.

  • http://www.google.com/news BETCATS

I love how all the Heat fans are demanding a new point guard. You have 3 super stars and 3 mediocre point guards already. None of the names that were said are any better than Arroyo, Chalmers, or House. But somehow those 6 cannot create offense well enough to carry this team to victory every night so they can go 82-0. Im gonna sit in the corner and laugh, you guys try to find out what the real problem is. I hope this helpful hint will show you it is not the point guard postion.

  • jahmai

The real problem is that LeBron is playing too many minutes.

  • jahmai

Oh, and 0 minutes is too much for D-wade too, but coach Spo knows that.

  • http://simonlawy888.blogspot.com Simon Lawy

Lechoke needs more help … Melo anyone?? Miami Heat’s Fab four

  • The Philosopher

    Bad defense by The King.
Great shot by Rudy Gay, at the same time.
It is just one of those things.
    Tick… tock… tick…….

  • biged

The reaction of the bench is priceless.

sidenote: their bench is full of scrubs lol….i wonder where Miami’s bench compared to Boston and my Lakers

  • http://www.fiba.com Darksaber

Z-Bo kept Memphis in this one. Soon as he got going, Heat really lost the board battle. House was shooting well though, but the Heat truly have a strange body language atm. Methinks the whole villains of the league thing is getting to them.

  • Spade

is it just me or someone on the Heat bench (Stack?!) flip the bird to Rudy after the shot?

Good D. Great Shot. Bad call by the coach not to foul.

Just a tough loss guys, its absurd to crown or hang any team based on one loss. Its a long season.

  • Spade

the finger in question is at 12 seconds in

  • vtrobot

wait, i thought that being a PG and playing with multiple future HOFers automatically makes you into an all-star like it did for rondo? very nice shot, rudy.

  • 80

@vtrobot you are totally right !!!

  • http://www.dimemag.com Royal

sample: Rudy hit a tough shot with a hand in his face…it was good defense. The fact that they did not foul falls more on the coaching staff than on the players.

  • The Philosopher

    Agree with vtrobot.
    Royal:
    Agree with the foul situation.
But, the moment is the moment, no? The players are supposed to react to the “moment”.
One can argue that the players (the point guard) should be aware of most, if not all of in game situations. They all are experienced players.
Would Nash have not known the situation with the fouls? If he did not, can we see him asking the scorer’s table, or even the coach about it, before a guy hits a game winner?

  • tavoris

@J-TJ Ford can shoot? when did that happen?
Ridenour would be nice tho…too bad the only players w/o minimum deals are haslem and miller…and the Heat ain’t trading either to match Ridenour’s salary.

  • http://gmail dirty frank

the celebration looked like this was game 7 or something. Good shot. That’s it.

  • Mvp23100

That garbage prayer shot that thing touched the roof it’s taking teams amazing lucky plays to beat Miami and you lames couldn’t wait to run and jump on here good shot by my boy Rudy but if you give him that same play 10 times he might hit 1

  • busterjonez

Man, I predicted that Wade would go down much later in the season than this. Knocked down 8 times get up 7. At least Wade got paid.

UD getting hurt will be a BIG problem for this thin Heat team.

  • bsarkiofficial

no fair, lebron has no help. ALL he has is dwade and bosh. the heat need an allstar pg (maybe chris paul) and a big man (dwight howard) then theyll be a solid team. LMAO hahahahahaha big 3 can suck DZZZZZZ. 72 wins, right guys???

  • LD

I do not think memphis over celebrated at all. It’s not like they had a parade before the season started saying they are gonna win 8 championships.

  • T-Money

Good D, great shot. All of Miami’s losses go down to the wire. That’s a good thing. / Miami doesn’t need new players. Everything is there. They have to wait until everybody gets back in late December, early January. By that time, the starting 5 will be Eddie House, Wade, LBJ, Bosh, and Z. The bench will be: Mike Miller, Haslem, James Jones and Juwan Howard/Jamal Magloire (for Dwight only). That’s a hell of a team. / I’ve never heard someone associated with Miami mention 72 wins. Just saying…

  • LD

@T-Money- You forgot to tell us who the coach would be.

  • T-Money

LD: I’m not a Coach Spo fan to say the least but only Riles could take over DURING the season and I don’t know if he wants to do that, the players (especially D-Wade) seem very reluctant to him coaching again. If the Heat don’t win it all, he’s out this summer for sure. JVG would make a lot of sense and so would Larry Brown if he can get out of his current contract (he’s always looking for an out…)

  • Jackie Moon

Long … live … THE KING!!!

  • LD

Larry Brown would be nice. Anything to get these guys to play good basketball.

  • http://www.dimemag.com Royal

    Philo: I agree…..

  • http://www.google.com/news BETCATS

So you guys went from demanding a new point guard to thinking Larry Brown would leave a team during the season to coach your 3 headed monster? Come on Heat fans, you are better than that. Eboy is rolling over in his grave right now.

  • T-Money

You kinda suck at reading BET. Miami doesnt need a pg and i eas talking about larru brown next summer IF the heat dont win it all. And if you had not realized that brown was hoing to jump ship very soon, you havent been psying attention to his career. The man was talking to the lowly knicks while he was in the ECF with detroit! LB is always looking for change.

  • http://slamonline.com Ugh

No foul with one to give, and LeBron drives and dunks the ball on a 2-2 fast break instead of chewing up the clock a little more on the possession. He has a high basketball IQ, apparently.

  • http://www.google.com/news BETCATS

“Larru Brown” is going to retire then move back to Philly when he is done with the Bobcats. As he said, the Bobcats will be his last head coaching job. I am about 50/50 on this being his last year, but i do know he will not coach 3 divas and a bunch of old guys. Anyway T-Money you do not make up all the comments on here and there was talk of needing a new point guard, but hopefully this comment clears it all up for you.

  • T-Money

Ugh: chew up the clock when you’re down 2 and you have a clear path to the basket with 10 seconds to go. Are you high? / BET: it’s clever what you did right there with my typo. You do know that he won’t coach Wade, James, Bosh, Haslem and Mike Miller based on what exactly? Miami is a fantastic job and coaches will always run for talent. Always. That’s a crazy assumption to make, especially for someone that has coached literally half the teams in the NBA. Larry Brown had said that he would go back to coaching high school after New York. And he had said that with Detroit too. The man can’t stay still, that’S what he does. Since I was the only one discussing LB, I don’t see how you can link a general comment that I did not make to my specific one. And, like you ommitted to point out, I wasn’t talking about LB DURING the season.

  • kudos

Good defense??! Good defense would be blocking the shot, Rudy just shiited on Lebron.

  • http://www.google.com/news BETCATS

T-Money the world is a much bigger place than just you and me. Dont flatter yourself into believing my comments were directed strictly at you. Since we are on the topic, you mentioned Mike Miller. Larry hates designated 3 point shooters, Mike would be traded away. Haslem, Wade, Joel Anthony and James would be the 4 guys Larry would like as players. His ego would probably clash with Bosh’s which would be a hilarious trainwreck to watch. Im not convinced Lebron is over Larry benching him in the Olympics back in 04; wouldnt it be fun to find out once and for all? No it wouldnt. Larry has always said he is ‘done’ once he is done coaching at one place or another but this time he actually probably does mean it. His wife wants him back in Philly with their family and once his contract is done that is where i expect him to go. Whether he will coach the 76ers again or just work in the front office is to be determined.

  • http://www.google.com/news BETCATS

Oh and i forgot to mention: Larry Brown and Pat Riley under one roof? HA HA HA (so funny i left my caps lock on)

  • T-Money

“this time he actually probably means it”… ok, boss.

  • the truth

thats pretty tough d by lebron. not many ppl gonna challenge that shot

  • http://slamonline.com JJAkroyd

Teams are coming up with truly great performances to beat the Heat. I don’t know why they should be overreacting, it’s just a known fact that everyone plays a little harder against them. There’s not too many teams that could get 12 or 13 brand new players in to one team and dominate straight up. 50-60 games in, Wade and LeBron will be clicking, hopefully Bosh will have really woken up and the starting point guard will have made himself stand out from the pack. Z has to keep starting though. Maybe Spo isn’t the right coach, and Pat does have a great record. They’ll figure it out. Playoffs are a long way away, why does everything have to happen right now?

  • http://www.dimemag.com Royal

Kudos: So by your logic defense is only good if it ends with a block or a steal?

  • Chris

    Gay over gay

  • The Philosopher

Gentlemen, that was bad defense and a great shot at the same time. Great shot for obvious reasons. Bad defense because, The King was supposed to force Rudy Gay to his left. I mean, LeBron just took a picture of Rudy just walking all the way over to his spot.
AND, The King was late contesting the shot. AND, he inexplicably contested that sot with the wrong hand.
The King, the point guard, and Spoelstra all choked on that one.

  • The Philosopher

He was supposed to have both hands up with all of that room he gave Rudy.
    Anyways…

  • http://www.slamonline.com J

BET: I’ve been critical of the point guard spot (AND interior defense, not necessarily a big Center)since Day 1. I’m not a fan of Arroyo’s super inconsistency. I thought Chalmers could be the point there but they never play him. I’ve been posting this on every heat game not just all of a sudden. They need a point who can shoot and orchestrate some.

Tavoris: I mean can score on TJ Ford part. may bad.

  • JVal

The Heat don’t need a PG, DWade can do the point or LeBron will do, they need a tough rebounder or a tough defending C,as you can see, they always been outrebounded, like today, Haslem is out for many weeks.

  • Pingback: SLAM ONLINE | » Reports: Udonis Haslem Out Until February, Maybe Longer

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

Z screwed Lebron on defense, but still a great shot.

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

Watch the video. Z gives a bad hedge because he makes his mind up to late whether to hedge or stay with his man. That messes up Lebron’s pursuit angle, and I think Gay surprised Bron by not going to the rim and instead rising up for the jumper. Now, if LeBron had been watching Team USA this summer, he’d know that Gay LOVES that shot and is very good at hitting it. Poor defense, great shot, good win.,

  • Cizzo

No king plays ball in Miami……..

  • mike

that was great did you see rudy stare down the heat bench. f*** the heat. next time rudy should give the finger to everyone on the heat bench after hitting the winner and then he should start f***ing lebron mom to. everyone in the nba should get a turn. f*** you lebron you overrated piece of s***
