Video: Russell Westbrook Dunks on Emeka Okafor

Westbrook has apparently decided to start dunking on everyone, a decision which I fully support. Emeka Okafor is the latest victim:

    @Jason – I don’t know that Russell would be a good slam dunk contestant. All his dunks are the same dunk and it looks like he barely reaches the rim. Granted they are explosive for in game dunks and they do look impressive for a short PG.

    umm…has ANYONE been paying attention to what rose has been doing. 5 out of the 6 games hes had 30 or more, averaging about 7 assists. these include the phoenix game where they came back from a 20+ point deficit.

    go ask tyreke evans how he feels.

    Yeah why are yall saying Westbrook is clearly better like Rose hasn’t been killing all year. These dunks are nice, but the one Rose put down on the dude from the Suns last year tops all of Westbrooks from this year.

    Who cares who is better? lets all agree that the point guard position is the deepest position in the league.

    No one is denying how good Rose is playing. But if their offensive statlines are identical while D-Rose is the # 1 option on his team, while Westbrook is the # 2 option on his then, it is a reasonable discussion cause Westbrook is clearly better defensively and passing.

    ^yes it is dfrance21.. but at the same time (and im pretty sure im speaking for more than jus myself on this) i do not believe rose would be near as good or put up near the numbers that he does now if he was on the same team as durant

    And guys, that’s a tough comparison of Westbrook and Rose. You could argue Westbrook has the luxury of not being keyed in by opposing defenses thanks to the presence of Durant. Conversely, you could say Rose gets more opportunities to go off because he and his team knows they will live and die by his offensive production.

    My order of best PGs: D-Will, CP3, Rondo, Rose/Westbrook (sorry they are that close in my mind). D-Will and CP3 are at another tier however…

    It’s cool to see Rose and Russ do they thang…got similar styles and have been training together for years. In terms of excitement factor, Rose and Russ are at the top.

    D-Will number 1 at the mo for sure. Keeps playing like this and Utah finish well with a good record, definately a MVP candidate.

    @ omar and c_cantrell Read LA Hueys post. You guys are just speculating. You could easily argue the opposite point, that he gets more opportunities because teams are focusing on Durant. I can sit here and say if Rose played with Durants, its KDs numbers that would drop. Its all speculation.

    I’m sure Durant’s numbers would go down if he played with Rose because Rose isn’t great at setting up his teammates, not as good as Westbrook is.
