Passadaday: Andray Blatche to Al Thornton

On a crazy day off the court in DC, crazy things were also happening on the floor at the Verizon Center. None crazier than this pass from an unlikely candidate.

blatche can ball str8 up he would be a near all star with the right coaching

I don’t think it’s as much coaching as it is his mindset. The kid’s got talent, but just doesn’t care much. Would rather coast than try hard.

just a thought…why dont ppl jsut go to NBA.com and search for assist of the night to see the exact. same. thing?

  • Clement

Cuz here it’s basically brought to you. If you go to NBA.com you gotta like search for it and stuff.

@greg, completely agree. I’ll concede the Wiz have had lots of injury struggles, but Flip has consistently done a terrible job in putting the pieces together in Washington. In a proper system he could be as good as any skilled big in the league.

    Derrick Coleman Jr.

What kind of defense is Bosh Spice playing? He’s literally leaning his entire body into Blatche and pushing with his arms, SMH. One spin move and he’s done. Then again this is Andray Blatche we’re talking about…

Andray Blatche does not have a single 20/10 season. DC had plenty that were close or there…and was still underachieving (!). And he was left handed. Blatche is most definitely not left handed–he can barely dunk with the left, it seems. As big a talent/dumbass as Blatche may be, he’s no DC Jr. He’s just not that good, though he may be that lazy.

nba.com has the same ad before every highlight clip too – kind of irratating after a while

Having not missed a Wizards game in three years, I can attest to the fact that this pass from Blatche is nothing unusual for him. He is probably the best passer on the team. I get a kick out of people who offer opinions such as “…he may be that lazy”, or he’s a “…talented/dumbass”, when they haven’t the foggiest idea what they are talking about.
