Video: Deron Williams drops Greivis Vasquez

We’ll give Greivis some sympathy because he faced the NBA’s nastiest crossover in just his 16th game in the League. But, man… look out, rook!

He stepped on his foot while he was trying to back peddle. Of course he is going to fall.

  • http://slamonline.com/ Ryne Nelson

    ^ Wrong.

  • riggs

weak video choice, while deron can and has broken ankles this one wasnt one of them.

  • rainman

umm, he actually stepped on his foot lol.

    nice try

  • http://Mrjones21901@aol.com Run’n'Gun219

clearly he tripped over his foot. Come on slam stop tryna pull a fast one on us. but i do agree DWill does have the nastiest crossover in the leuge

  • Tupackalicious

Stepped on Greivis’ shoe. Don’t call that an ankle break.

  • http://bulls.com airs

    derrick on reke was better.

  • Robb

We’ll give Greivis some sympathy because he got his foot crushed

  • http://slamonline.com Ryan Jones

Ryne’s Illini bias is peeking out on this one.

  • http://SLAMonline.com GotHandles?

    thats 1 baaaaad man

  • T-Money

Yeah, Deron has incredible handles and makes defenders fall all the time but this is not one of these times.

  • james

BEST BELIEVE THE BEST POINT GUARD IN THE LEAGUE WAS BORN N RAISED IN THE GREAT STATE OF TEXAS!!!

  • Valerio

    aaahahhaha are you kidding me??
that’s the worst DWill crossover ever….is not even a crossover!!!

  • http://SLAMONLINE.COM LAKERS LEGEND

not a crossover vasquez looks like he tripped on himself lol but deron is a beast yo top 5 point guards in the league easy

  • http://codyanderson.blogspot.com donnycersado

Right at 14 seconds, you can see him catch the front of Vazquez’s foot, but gotta love D-Will anyway

  • yeSS

he stepped on his foot, cmon SLAM

  • Rainman

NO worries! Dime mag posted the EXACT same thing!

    (as usual)

  • http://bulls.com Harry Twatter

He stepped on his foot so that was no D Rose crossover!!!

  • http:/slamonline.com Slick Ric

I dont know about breaking his ankles but he did hurt his toes.

  • http://slamonline.com/ Ryne Nelson

Y’all think it was a possible tap on a foot that made this sick? Alright…

  • http://slamonline.com/ Ryne Nelson

OK, I’ll admit DWill got his toe.

  • fruizm

the announcer made a frog sound when he tried to say “grreivis….grreeeivis”

  • Josh

Greevy only fell because of DWill stepping on his foot, there is no question. That was not a crossover, that was weak. Best PG in the league on the other hand? I’ll give him that one.

  • http://slamonline.com rudy

Best Pg in the league? idk about that one just yet. I’ll reserve my judgement until the the end of the season.

  • http://www.need4sheed.com Tarzan Cooper

He is EASILY the best pg. Hes the total package. Plus, hes a proven scorer in the clutch . .. He has that killer in him.

  • Sarah

He didn’t fall b/c of the crossover. Deron clearly stepped on his foot. It happens.

  • rich

they should call tripping on the ball handler in the nba they do it on the defense but never on the offense. kinda intresting to see if thats at least a turnover like carrying the ball

  • TonyStarks

SLAM .. Disappointing on this one

  • http://nationofmillions.ca ciolkstar

Meh. I watched that play live and never really thought “Oooh Deron dropped him” more like Gravy Vasquez just fell down for no reason. (By the way, “Gravy” Vazquez is by far my favorite nickname I’ve ever made up)

  • http://www.fiba.com Darksaber

Hehe, i like how Ryne retracted his earlier statement. U went back and watched it 15x in a row, didn’t ya, Ryne? Nice.

  • http://www.slamonline.com ShadiestBen

Matt Harping with the obligatory best PG in the L comment that he makes around once a possession. If your trying that hard Matt its probably not true.
Tarzan – CP3 is by far the best PG in the league, you swap those two and Utah are better, New Orleans are worse. Through out there careers Deron has always had the superior roster.

  • Anton

@Shadiestben: stop assuming it makes you look like an idiot.

  • http://www.slamonline.com ShadiestBen

@Anton – It’s 100% opinion buddy, but its mine. Who are you to say its wrong?

  • james

@tarzan exactly! people dont wanna give him his due because he doesnt get as much fanfare as cp3 or d.rose or rondo or nash. people have been underrating this dude since back when he was going to high school in Dallas and didnt even get invited to the mcdonalds game. smh D.Will is the best pg in the league. you can hate it or love it
