Video: Blake Griffin’s Kia Commercial

As expected, Blake Griffin’s over-the-car jam from the Slam Dunk Contest has been made into a Kia ad, featuring the throwdown in all of its slow motion glory. Check it out.

    Is anyone actually dumb enough to buy a car just because an NBA player is in the advert? I mean, would Griffin drive this car? No.
    He should have dunked over a Ferrari, that would have been a sight to remember.

    Yep… KIA paid the NBA/judges off so Blake could make the finals and win it with this dunk. You’ve got to be kidding me. I’m not mad at Blake, but wow.

    I also like how they positioned the camera to make it LOOK like he jumped over the roof of the car, instead of the hood.

    This dunk was lame, even though it was over a car and this commercial makes it look even worse. I have seen better dunks made over a car than this. I personally would have liked to see what Ibaka or Derozan would have done in the last round.

    Average dunk, didn’t have room to land, car was to close to rim. The wackiest dunk of the slam dunk contest and The Blake to me pulled a Shannon Brown. His dunks were the simple for dunkers and he won, to me the Slam Dunk lost its edge after they gave it to The Blake for doing a 360 dunk, a arm in rim alley which is easier and jump over a hood catch dunk. NBA where rigged Slam Dunk contest Happens!!!

    this thing with the dunk contest reminds me of a movie with the wayans brothers dont be a menace…where loc dogg confronts another thug with a knife and the other one has a gun so he pulls out a gauge and so on, till Loc comes up with a rocket launcher..

    demar should compete next year and just over a can of sprite. he could get a boombox and play some music in the background just to mock griffin. He could call it the “pocket-sized griffin dunk” or “griffin dunk on a budget”

    btw griffin’s dunk was perfect. it totally matched the car. it was average and we’ve seen so much better (in case you ain’t know, i’m talking about the car… and the dunk. see what i did there?)
