Video: Derrick Rose’s Monster Two-Handed Dunk

Rose‘s two-handed flushes remind me of Dominique Wilkins’ assaults on the rim. That’s a compliment, kids:

he made d.will look like a fool

Still the best two-handed dunking guard in traffic, no question.

    thats my boy!

  • Keith Bogans

    Yawn….use to it by now!

  • Keith Bogans

    yawn…use to it by now!

That was badass! Can’t wait until the Knicks trade Andy Rautins for this guy! Make it happ… oh nevermind

  • robb

this kid is too fast, too athletic and too strong. On top he’s pretty smart.

    The Asik dunk was better.
    Nah, just playing.
But Keith Bogans is right, Chicago fans are getting pretty used to this kind of stuff.

The Maurice Podoloff Trophy will soon be back in Chicago.

Best two handed dunker period. Forget guards.
But, I almost never see him dunk with one hand. I wonder if his hands are too small to palm the ball.

  • toinefan88

Keith Bogans can’t do that on an 8 foot rim.

  • http://nobulljive.com/ Enigmatic

@Allen – yeah, I’m almost sure Rose can’t palm the ball.
He has no problem dunking with one hand off a lob or alley-oop pass, but you’re right, I don’t think I’ve seen many one-handed dunks from him otherwise.

  • Keith Bogans

He can palm the ball, he did a lot of one handers in H.S. put now his mainly doing two “back-scratcher” dunks unless is an oop.

  • Keith Bogans

then again I really don’t know if he could.

  • mike

    he fell…

  • http://www.twitter.com/dfrance21 dfrance21

The way he fell was hilarious, but I don’t think he does two-hand dunks because he can’t palm the ball, its just his signature. But who knows, all I know is two hand dunks almost always look better than 1 hand ones.

  • JTaylor21

This right here is a perfect example of just how far the PG posistion has come. When a PG does dunks that Nique and Chocolate Thunder used to do.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Slick Ric

Great dunk, but the fall was funny, he looked like somebody grandpa falling in slow motion.

  • bull22

this guy is getting better and better, all of this without getting the attention of the big three in miami and the big two in new york. hopefully he continues to stay humble and work hard like air jordan.

    Co-sign Keith Bogans.

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

Oh yeah, forgot about his high school days.
That windmill dunk he did in high school is still the best Derrick Rose dunk I’ve ever seen.
Coincindentally, he fell after that one too.

  • Thegfunk

Slam did a feature and I’m sure rose liked Stevie Franchise’s game. Of course, Steve couldn’t palm a basketball

  • Joblo

the real question is who still thinks he can’t play d….

  • youngmuggsy

    What a clumsy dunk.

  • Jimmer Fredette

He can’t palm the ball, those one handers you see him do he basically holds the ball on his forearm.

  • http://www.yougotdunkedon.com LilKDub503

@Jimmer: That makes it more amazing if he can dunk a ball with his forearm.

  • NotRealLife

@bull22 Ya man Mike is the most humble cat out there.

  • http://dude Chukaz

ppl he’s 6’4. I’m sure he can palm the ball. most of lebron’s dunks are with the right hand off his left leg and it ain’t because his left arm doesn’t more or something that just his thing

  • http://www.slamonline.com Mars

control yourself young man. I want to see you healthy for the playoffs. DRose, you have been cleared for takeoff.

  • http://www.slamonline.com SpaceJam

@ Chukaz, D Rose is 6’2 with shoes on not close to 6’4. And he can dunk with one hand, but 2 hand dunk is his signature. Just look up a HS mixtape on youtube. I live in chicago, you kinda get used to it.

  • gani

That dunk reminded me of Latrell Sprewell’s signature two-handed dunk.

  • Aussie Hoopz

His two hand back-scratcher dunks remind me most of Latrell Sprewell. The way he brings it right back over his head with the ball touching his back and the way he raises his feet towards his ass, its like watching Spree do his thing on the break back in the Golden State days.

  • lexee

search his ForceFactor ad on youtube, he dunks one handed in it.
