Brandon Roy Wasn’t Sure He’d Ever Play Basketball Again

“There were times I didn’t know if I’d be able to play basketball again.” —Brandon Roy, who said this and much more in this interview immediatey after the Blazers Game 4 victory.

    He had an unbelievable performance. I am rooting for dallas in the series but i couldn’t stop myself from wanting Portland to win that game, just for him. Congrats Roy, hopefully we will see this type of game from you consistently in the future. (just not anymore in this series)

    So glad to see him come back like this. I can only hope there’s more in store, and this wasn’t a one time thing.

    This is why I watch basketball. Best story of the year so far.

    A lot of credit must go to Nate for inspiring him to come out and play the way the Blazers need him to play. No over-dribbling, no settling for fadeway jumpers, no stagnating the offense, no selfishness. Instead he fit into the offense and attacked the rim which then set up his j and the rest of his team. It seems like he was finally reminded that this is a team game. Now they have the chance to place the choker tag around the Mavs necks once again and move into the next round.

    I’m gonna play devils advocate on this one. I think it was real selfish of him to complain about playin time in the playoffs with a bad knee. And then with a chance finally given he ball hogged his way to a comeback just to show people he still has it. They were gonna live and die with his shots whether he made them or not because he wasn’t gonna pass

    I could swear just a couple days ago almost everbody was saying sh*t about B.Roy. Most people commenting here are B*llsh*t.

  • Natron05

    DeeDre – are you Mark Cuban, or just a pathetic hater? That was historic, and is probably in the top 10 fourth quarter performances ever. People like you are funny and hating is you second job,,,,a little sad, but good for people like Brandon Roy who just get to prove you wrong.

    go broy

  • Natron05

    What B. Roy did was justify his comments, and instead of keeping complaining (which he apologized for), he SHOWED why he was justified to feel why he felt.

    that game he had…”all-world”

  • DeeDre

    I know it was a great game. That’s a given. But I could do without the complaining is all I’m sayin. And I didn’t know he apologized, my bad. But I’m definitely not hatin on my boy Roy. Just a little extra critical. Love his game. I just gave the first comment uninformed

    @DeeDre
    BRoy also had a handful of assist, I think 4 of his 5 in the 4th.
    Nice to see some vintage BRoy, one of my favorite players to watch. Hope he can keep it up.
