Video: Rajon Rondo Injures Arm, Returns to Game

Talk about some inspirational stuff. This video begins with Rajon Rondo suffering a cringe-inducing injury, but quickly transitions into the point guard’s miraculous return and some of the highlights made once he got back on the floor. If this doesn’t impress you, there probably isn’t anything that will.

    Illuminati.

if Artest got suspended, this should be suspended as well. This is a total frustration foul and non basketball move. I am tired of ‘superstars’ in NBA protected by league rules, not just game calls. I used to be a fan of Wade, but this unsportsmanlike foul just lost me as a fan.

  • MikeC.

I’m amazed that Rondo was able to come back. His elbow went all wiggly.

  • Ben Ireland

Eddie, a little more effort would be nice… We know you’re gonna mention Illuminati, but jees…

  • fruizm

@Ben….yeah i bet Eddie is hungover or tired.

  • Waggle

It’s true. At least put some effort into it and make us chuckle Eddie.

Rondo adds to the Celtics (and Rondo) legend…reminds me of that steal and layup on Jason Williams last postseason.

    heart of a champion

Wade was out for people’s heads (and elbows) last night.

  • flipnoyce

Big Ups to Rondo for finishing the game with one hand. What a warrior this kid really is, he knew that the game was bigger than himself. That was very unnecessary thing to do by Wade.

You guys gonna post the video of LBJ calling the Boston reporter “retarded”, while she tries to convince Wade that he was playing dirty? Cus its the best thing thats happened in the playoffs yet, and the playoffs have been pretty great so far….

cosign Will. total “Rondo just poked the ball away and i’m mad so i’m gonna take him down” play. suspension would be right (a flagrant would’ve been also), but it won’t even be considered.

  • Heals

@Boing, That was crazy, she stuttered/couldn’t even figure out how to word it and they both knew what she was trying to say, but clearly didn’t agree with it. Awkward…

Bogut was going trough my mind when I saw this happen..

I hate the Heat, but would always say “I like D-Wade though.” This series made me change my mind. I hate every single player on the Heat. Wade dragged son down to the floor just to get a foul call and almost ended this man’s season. No love OR respect for Wade anymore. Dirty ass player…

Rondo showed me and the world alot last night but coach spo let him off the hook chalmers was playing well but he shouldve come with miller and no true point guard and posted his a** up every play and forced the double team also Boston was able to be 3 in the key most of the day without zoning up the refs could’ve called 3seconds just about every play get it right plus Boston. Was able to play a little more physical and got away with it

  • robb

Got new found respect for Rondo.

  • mike

It was a really dirty move by Wade after Rondo had picked him clean. No more respect for Wade.

  • vtrobot

wait, i thought that rondo was the “dirty” player because he threw hinrich into the scorer’s table and raked brad miller across the grill. a little time changes everything. dude is tough tho. thankfully they didn’t bring him out of the game in a wheelchair. shaq looked 55. he should just come in and hand out some flagrant fouls and then give his remaining minutes to JO. nice to see the C’s playing better team ball again. KG was not to be denied yesterday either.

  • http://Www.fiba.com Darksaber

Man, Wade just hooked him and leaned back. Dirté.
    Amazing comeback, Rajon.

  • Ronald

Sigh. Did NO ONE see Rondo’s arm trying to spin D-Wade? As much as D-Wade was pushing Rondo back, Rondo was also grabbing D-Wade. T’was NOT a dirty play.

    ow

  • Brothaman

1/2 co-sign Ronald. The takedown was definitely uncalled for but Rondo had his right arm around Wade, both guys were wrasslin’ and trying to keep the other away from the ball

  • Zak_Knutson13

I don’t know how anyone who has played basketball can think that play was dirty. A little pushing and grabbing occurs constantly, especially in a loose ball situation. It just so happened that they lost their balance and Rondo, unfortunately, fell in a bad way. You think Wade had this scheme to pull Rondo down in a way that would cause him to try to break his fall with his arm, and subsequently dislocate his elbow??

  • http://slamonline.com everything

    co-sign Zak-Knutson13
and rondo still floppin like a fish out of water

  • jedi420

Me and my boy were amazed that it took 3 or 4 minutes before a commentator noticed that the Heat players should have made Rondo dribble with his left hand… how nobody on the Heat figured that out I have no idea??

  • BostonBaller

I don’t think Wade was trying to hurt RR but it was a cheap play. Shaq had a couple of key plays in the game so I’ll take a “55″ Shaq over a 25 whomever right now. It’s only 1 game but I’ll take it. lol.

    No more Lakers this year…

  • Jefta

Zak-Knutson13 got it right. You cant possibly think Wade ‘did’ the elbow thing to Rondo. It was an accident.

Rondo was pretty awesome coming back after putting the elbow back in place though, but i hope he made the right call coming back, and not hurt his body in a serious way.

  • Mike From Spain

Wade should have been suspended for that play…

  • smoove

good take down GSP, i mean wade, he used to be one of my favorites, but seems like everybody on miami has lebrongitis now, even big Z, some type of new formed attitude

  • @DEKNOWZ

I have a new found respect for this dude. Seriously, Warrior sh*t!

  • Layzie

Whoever calls this a dirty foul has never physically played basketball.
