Video: Aquille Carr Highlight Reel

The up-and-comer shows off his skills.

If you aren’t up on a 5-6 up-and-comer from Baltimore named Aquille Carr, well, you need to be. Known as the Crime Stopper, this young’n has already put in his 1,000th point for Patterson High School (as a sophomore), and his name’s been moving around at lightning pace after some strong showings in summer games as of late. Check out his highlight mix above, courtesy of The Mars Reel.

His game reminds me of ex utah jazz/vancouver grizzly Antoine Carr ;) Any relation?

  • Bature

looks and plays sorta like iverson; just 10-15 cm smaller, yikes!

Hmmm, not bad. I imagine the L has room for another little guy. Bature we don’t speak metric.

    Sick.

Yeah, I been hearing about this kid for a minute now. Wonder if he’ll grow any more? Four more inches and he’s six feet, Iverson-sized.

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

OK, so six more inches, not four.
My brain usually stops working around this time of the day…

c spence…..really??? anyways kid is nice most definitely. A guy of his height would do best to learn to play in a niche role. More specifically coming off that pick and roll ala JJ Barea. A small guard can be quite useful in the NBA for that particular regard….being a sticky handed, ball dominating, over-dribbler….not so much…..Anyways on the subject of young small guards shouts out to Kiwi Gardner!!!!! You could call it East Coast bias but man that kid hasn’t gotten a fraction of the hype that this kid has already amassed through two years. Kiwi will be special, he moved all the way across the country to prove himself in the toughest conference in college basketball….much respect to him

@ c spence… what you meant to say was “is this antoine carr’s son?” cuz obviously you have never seen that same man play a game. that being said, this dude is wicked quick. i hope he his shortyness doesnt halt his game…

    Ed “Booger” Smith Jr.
And, one of the best that I’ve ever seen off the dribble.
    Boundless potential.

  • Matt Park

I really hope he grows at least a few more inches. They would surely go a long way.

HE WAS KILLIN IT AT ELITE 24!!

  • c spence run

winky face for sarcasm….my bad I guess

  • http://slamonline.com Ugh

He’s got a lot of potential, great handle and good finishing to a point, but those layups are going to get sent into the stands in the mens pro level.

Why do people compare every 6-0 under guard to AI?

  • DieselMechanic

    My favorite high-schooler easy.

  • LP

wow…the AI comparisons are definitely legit. I don’t like comparing others to AI, but this is close as it gets.

  • http://slamonline.com The Black Rick Kamla

there are some obvious analogs to Allen Iverson. The quickness, the attacking nature, the handle…..but I’ll compare him to AI once I see a pull up 15 footer out of him, and most importantly when I see how he reacts to a big spill…

  • JC

    KILLER crossover

good to see him finish lefty a few times…that had been one criticism, seems to have worked on it

  • spencer
