Here’s Kobe Bryant — wearing his old jersey number, and playing on a team called “Kobe” — getting his teeth punched in by a Jack Bauer type on “The Simpsons”. Awesome.

    Put it this way… if you have been made into a ‘simpson’ you know you have made it in this world. And what’s with the Number 8 jersey? I’m guessing Matt Groening (or whoever the creator is) doesn’t watch Basketball.

    Well it was a flashback, and fake Jack Bauer said it was the kind of training they aren’t allowed to do anymore, so I would assume the training happened pre-24 Kobe.

    He was still in #8 when he got the tats so your theory may be correct. The Simpsons isn’t some bootleg cartoon I’m sure 1 person on that staff would have said “Hey Kobe wears #24″ if it wasn’t supposed to be 8.

    All those moments were flashbacks so probably this guy punched Kobe back in 2005. They know their sh*t, of course they know Kobe wears #24.

    I saw the video and posted screenshots on French forums to please haters. I love Kobe. To me this is a tribute: he is considered dangerous as a black mamba should be!
    But maybe that’s also to allude to the fact that he was considered a “villain” in the US… well I don’t really care what US people think :-].
    Good tribute, good episode, good Kobe.
    THey should have given him more tattoos though, and a scarier look.

    Blaaa, hilarious was when the Jack Baueresque security guy kept punching out different ,’dangerous’ figures from screen and stage during his training (the girl from Kill Bill and Chucky for example). KB8 was just a bonus
    The Vatican Swiss Guard was my fav.
