Basketball never stops.

The exhibition showdown lived up to the hype at the Palestra last night.

from this video it seems like the only things that lebron has is power and athleticism. oh, it really is like that.

@ Krisjanis: And your point is what???

  • robb Posted: Sep.26 at 11:11 am
@mo I think his point is: LBJ hasn’t developed other areas of his game after 8 years

Tyreke is gonna be an allstar this year if we have a season, otherwise def one the following season.

Sure, it’s not like he wasn’t one of the top shooters from mid-range last season. It’s not like he hasn’t improved his defense from his rookie season. If you took the time and watched actual Cleveland/Miami games instead of waiting up for SC Top 10, you would see the improvements.

I’ve never really liked LeBron and I’m a pretty tragic Kobe stan but everyone who still says that LeBron is overrated are being ignorant. Dude made his defenders look like children in this game they way he muscled his way to the hole, and his shot has improved dramatically since he entered the league.

Lebron is still a beast. NBA players are all great. Some better than others but NBA players know how to play! Cheers.

@mo and @Krisjanis…..I’m a Lebron hater too, and a Kobe fan, but LBJ is the most versatile player in the league. He plays all positions and after 8 years the man is at his peak in all areas of his game. The only thing Lebron needs to develop is the balls for the 4th quarter.

The only thing missing is AI…I just want to see AI show up at one of these games. Doesn’t even have to play. Just be the OG in the building. That’s all.
LeBron’s jumpshot has improved significantly. He’s become a much better defender. He realized years ago that he had to be a two way player. He’s gained 20 pounds since he’s been in the league, looks like he’s lost some of it recently which is good. The only thing left is a post game and better footwork. He could also improve his three point shot. To say that he hasn’t improved since his rookie season is completely ridiculous.

Improving is one thing, developing other areas of his game is another, learn to read.

  • robb Posted: Sep.26 at 10:41 pm
he’s just more efficient now but he does exactly the same moves and plays the same game. When his athleticism leaves him, that’s gonna be interesting.

  • MLK4Life Posted: Sep.27 at 7:48 pm
The thing is he came into the league with a lot of skills already. So when you say develop other areas of his game, what do you mean? Shooting, defense??? Because he’s developed both of those. He didn’t have a lot of developing to do. Any player loses something when they lose their athleticism. AI’s speed left him and he’s out of the league. Kobe’s only still great because of his postgame and his jumpshot along with his mental makeup. If LeBron develops a postgame and his jumpshot becomes more consistent, he’ll be fine.
