Was that a slider?
After a little mini-controversy, the Mavs’ Finals MVP was finally allowed to take the field and throw out the first pitch during last night’s World Series game. (H/T: PBT)

Ha ha looks like a dude playing catch with his 8 year old son.
Sometimes you forget how tall these guys are.
Good for Dirk though.
I wish the heads over at Slam would make a site for MLB talk. I can talk all day about how A-Rod needs to get back on steroids or how Pujols is probably the greatest hitter of all time who ISN’T going to get the money he deserves this upcoming free agent period..
better than john wall LOL
Why was he the first pitch in TX? Why wasnt President George W. Bush who pitched tonight? That’s disgusting. I heard there was some “controversy” about an NBA player pitching but for him to get the first pitch vs Pres Bush who is a former owner of the Rangers? That’s the controversy to me. I am going to protest this. But at least PRes Bush doesn’t throw like a girl in pressed jeans like Obama!
journalism made this happen! MLB didn’t want the bad rep. props to all the reporters and newspapers and news sites out there (including SLAM)!
u realize obama was a really good pg right kate? bush is doing on a tour right now anyways. Last time he almost got hit by a foul ball, secret service advised him it wasnt safe
Lol, damn he is tall.
W did a great job of mismanaging the Rangers. Inviting him in this situation would be like the Hornets inviting back George Shinn to toss up the jump ball if they were to reach the NBA Finals.
