Video: Brandon Jennings Denies Beef With Kobe Bryant

Back in August, Brandon Jennings wrote on his Twitter page that Kobe Bryant wasn’t from LA, so therefore he shouldn’t have suited p for the Drew League. He also had a funny anti-Kobe t-shirt made. He says that it was all in good fun.

I can see Brandon Jennings showing civic pride and being territorial about his city, especially given the fact that Kobe is an out-of-towner and is pretty much worshiped in LA… But at the same time, he still came off like a hater just a little bit(the ‘Nobody Likes A Snake’ tee was awesome tho, so props to him for that). But basketball is about ego and competition, so it’s OK, but he’ll never be as big in LA as Kobe. Ever. So he may as well just accept that fact and KIM.

I’m a Kobe fan on the court, but I believe that he is a bad person personality wise. There has been too much neg comments about him, even if all of them all not true they are coming from somewhere

You have lost your LA rights!

Kobe’s a different kind of cat. It’s not bad, just different. What would you expect from a guy who grew up mostly in Italy? I don’t know why Brandon would even open his mouth to say anything about Kobe that’s not some type of praise for the way he plays. Anything else, he should keep to himself. This coming from a guy who regressed in his second season and has yet to accomplish anything significant other than one 55 point game against the Golden State Warriors who weren’t exactly a defensive juggernaut. I don’t care whether Kobe grew up in LA or not. You win 5 championships for the city, your work is already done. Look how the crowd reacted to him in the game…did it look like they didn’t want him there? Dude needs to worry about Kemba Walker coming in and stealing his shine at Under Armour in his rookie season.

I wonder if Brandon realizes that Kobe’s lived in LA for 15 years. Brandon’s lived the last 2 in Milwaukee, the one before that overseas, then the time he spent at oak hill academy (i think its in virginia). Kobe’s probably lived in LA longer than brandon. Also, Kobe doesn’t know this guy exists so how could he be part of a beef with a guy he doesn’t know?

Stand down, Jennings. Kobe’s spent almost as much time in LA as you have.
I hear what BC’s saying though.

Dyckman! Way to rep, B. Jennings. Much respect.

It’s all good. Stepping away from all the trash talk it’s still just fun and games. Life is too short to hold grudges.
