Video: Drew Gooden Charity Game, Featuring Ricky Rubio

The Spanish guard and a bunch of other NBAers show out.

Our pals at Ball is Life have footage of Ricky Rubio’s first “game” on US soil, as the young Spaniard took part in the Drew Gooden charity game in San Fransisco.

not even gonna front, those was some nasty dimes….special the behind the back outlet… and I really hope Drew Gooden was really just joking on that 1-on-1 with Verajao lol…….sigh…becoming more and more painfully obvious how badly these guys need the league….can count on two hands the attendance for this one, and it was star-studded smh

with all of these charity games, NBA players are going to forget what it’s like to play against actual defence.

How is a game where the two best players are DeRozen and JHarden considered star studded?

THEY ARE MORE OF STARS THAN YOUR SCRUB SELF JTAYLOR

I think it’ll take some time for Rubio to get used to the NBA playing style (much like Dirk), but once he gets it, that kid is going to be special. His ability to see the floor is something else.

Rubio didn’t fit in the systems in Europe. That’s where it was taking him time to adjust. The NBA Game is exactly the style for him. The question is, has he improved his shot enough to garner any kind of respect. Or will he be a less athletic Rajon Rondo.

Rubio may have a bright future in this league. Not sure how good he’ll be on defense, nor how athletic he really is, however he’s got some serious skills. His game can translate well with the right coach/team.

and any highlights that include a sideshow bob crossover have to be taken with a grain of salt.

There are still players there that I would love to see. Assuming the tickets werent outragously expensive, I would still expect more people than that to show up.
