Video: The Jeremy Lin Show Continues vs Lakers

Another Linsane performance by the Knicks guard.

Like everybody else, we were skeptical about this whole Jeremy Lin phenomenon in the beginning, but now it appears that the hype is very—or at least somewhat—real. Watch the Knicks guard torch the unsuspecting Lakers above.

Against horrible teams with suckie D, but once he played against a premier PG with D(Rubio) he shot 8 of 24. But yet I’m the moron, cause it isn’t you who’s being a stan & ignoring the truth of it all.

  • shutup

Rubio didnt change the shots that Lin was getting, he was still getting to the cup, his lift was just gone. Dude is still sleeping on peoples couches. even with going 8-24 he went for 20/8 with the win. I wasnt comparing them other than the fact that the stat of 8-24 isnt a indicator, because if it was then Rose would fall in that category too.

and just saw this little tidbit on espn Iverson had 101 , Shaq had 100 and Jordan had 99 in their first four starts, Lin has 109; take it how you will dude already has an NBA record.

  • swiftyk

every team has a defense with nba caliber players. it’s not like lin is out there playing with kids, they’re all “professionals”.

  • Red

Again Lin isn’t Rose not even close. Bad teams & him not coming out of nowhere while secretly having been a decent player. Decent as in he could be a good role player.

  • Startown

Rubio and barea played good defense on Lin… if you hold a guy to 33 percent shooting what moe can you ask. Sure he’s tired all NBA players are struggling with that. Lin looks to be a solid guard, there are several good point guards in the league, and it is very rare that anyone shuts down Rose, Westbrook, Nash, Parker, or any of the top guards!

@Red…. You are right bro and I’m a diehard Knicks fan and I can totally agree you see Lin with the same respect that I do and also see he’s no where close to being ELITE yet…. A good role player and a spot starter while players are injured? Yupp that’s what he is right now. And he needs to consistently play this way against the inferior point guards. Hopefully there will be less pressure on him when Stat and Melo get back to the point where I don’t really want to see him have to SHOOT twenty times a games ya know. He’s not going to hit them all, only Durant does that. Sometimes the matchups WON’T be in his favor… But when our elite players get back they better allow Jeremy Lin to enhance what they do.

  • projectphantom

You tell us to not compare Lin with Drose and whoever else. But you bring rose’s name up every time you type Lin’s name? What point are you trying to make about Lin. That he’s a 1.)fluke? 2.)hasn’t proved? 3.) inconsistent? 1.)20 and 8 every time he steps on the court 2.) 5-0 isn’t that as consistent as you can get 100% winning percentage? 3.) oh yeah he already has NBA records not even your beloved drose couldn’t break)

  • http://www.yahoo.com Red

He’ll be an All-Star, but again he’s a role-player. I mention Rose cause you guys act like he’s elite not me. Ok he broke MJs record too, so guess he’s now the next MJ all right great logic. AGAIN he played bad teams & came out of nowhere. The kid reminds me of a less Rondo imo.

@Red you have never picked up a basketball or never seen any other nba team play but your hometown haven’t you? 8-24 are rose-esque fg numbers and i love the dude, its either him or cp3 for the point guard crown. In Lin’s first 4 games he shot 58%, that is craazzyy for any player, especially for a point guard. Lin is not even close to a John Wall (who he scored twenty something and 10 dimes against)let alone DRose, but you have to give him credit, what he does isn’t a joke. I bet you can’t even score 20 on a recleague and Lin dropped 38 on a Lakers team with 2 7-foot behemoths waiting to wack his sh*t.

I’m trying to give the benefit of the doubt for some people. No one is really comparing Lin to Derrick Rose other that they both have shot 8 for 24 are they? Breaking records? Oh is that what ESPN said? The reality is BONAFIDE superstars Stat and Melo WILL be walking through that door.

  • http://www.yahoo.com Red

Lol…when have I not given him credit? Maybe when I said he’d be an All-Star next year? LOL wow, yes he did good. He’ll be a great role-player for the Knicks I predict & propel them unless Baron is 1st string. Actually those aren’t D Rose numbers, apparently NBA MVPs do 8 on 24 shooting..wow.

  • balLin

    @red

Rubio couldn’t stop him in the first half. He shot 7 for 12 and scored 15pts. Everyone including reporters, coaches, players, all said that Lin simply fatigued and should have sat at least 4-5 mins in the second half to get his legs back. Rubio proved nothing except he can stop a tired Lin after NOT being able to stop him in the first half.

Now don’t get me wrong, I think I know where you are going with your Lin sh*t talking. And if I’m reading what you write beneath your ignorant outbursts, I agree. He’s NOT on the same level as D. Rose or the point guards out there as of RIGHT NOW. But to bring back my entire argument to why I started with you in the beginning, he’s no fluke. He’s just starting a career. Yes, most of us are breathing his hype. But you’re also breathing his demise. 1 off game in the second half and now he’s a fluke? C’mon man. That’s as extreme as us nut huggers in the opposite direction.

  • http://hoopshype.com/salaries/new_york.htm Gametimeweezy

But seriously he’s been on fire for 5 straight games why would anybody scrutinize at this point it’s all the laws of averages anyways. Lin actually stands to start having a few off games now.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Chubachuchi

@Red I’ve been following Rose since his Simeon days being from Chicago; starting from last year his fg began to plummet because he had to take alot of shots because the Bulls offense is modeled that way. Your @ss a fair weather fan or in denial if you think Rose has a high fg percentage, I’m a hardcore bulls fan and personally I’d take Rose over cp3 just cause of my bias. Everybody knows Rose is a high volume scorer, not the most efficient scorer fg wise but still the most valuable player in the league nonetheless. Yes, the reigning MVP has 8-24 number nights more than your average player but he’s still the best, you better start checking on his fg stats once in a while.

  • http://www.yahoo.com Red

Demise? By saying he’ll be an All Star?! LOL WOWWWW you guys have 0 arguments though. Oh, newsflash 100% of the league is fighting fatigue, this kid has been resting while NBA players were playing back to backs he had a leg up, he wasn’t at a disadvantage with fatigue wtf smh

  • http://www.slamonline.com Chubachuchi

PS he doesn’t remind me of Rondo at all, Rondo is faster and passes better but at the same time I’ve never seen him make a 3 lol

  • ballLin

@red Yes. That’s why Kobe and the Lakers didn’t have trouble after going OT with the Celtics against the Knicks. That’s why after scoring 38 against the Lakers, obviously fatigue couldn’t POSSIBLY have anything to do w/ the second half of the game. You’re right. 0 argument. smh. stfu.

  • startown

Check back at the end of the year and we will see if anyone is offering their point guard for Lin straight up? Look at the NBA, more than half of the teams have a very good point guard. Jennings for Lin, Rose for Lin, Wall for Lin, Collison for Lin, Lowry for Lin, Rondo for Lin, Lawson for Line… just to name a few… none of them will do it.

  • startown

All players are tired the schedules have been brutal, Chicago had something like 9 straight road games, every player that plays significant minutes is tired and the shooting and defense shows it.

  • Red

    Lol.

  • red is a numnut

red is a total numnuts. dood is talkin complete nonsense. don’t even bother tryin to get him to change his mind, cuz he’s been drinkn the hatorade. when REAL nba analysts (including stephen a. smith, magic johnson, michael wilbon, chris broussard, jon barry… just to name a few) are convinced of lin’s talents and leadership… why would some red’s retarded opinion matter? nothin but a troll. lin, a role-player? tell that to NY head coach mike dantoni. most likely, he (along w/ the rest of us with real bball knowledge) will not pay any attention.

  • shutup

Startown, game time and practice time are totally different, have you played ball before? the energy it takes to start a game and in front of a crowd and to dominate 4 games, and he still hit the winning free throw, after putting 109 points in four starts dude has the right to be tired, the Knicks are riding the wave hes getting more NBA minutes than he ever has, he had the pressure about getting cut weighing on him and he’s sleeping on someones couch while he did it, why cant people just be happy for someones hoop dream to come true?

  • Startown

Shut up;,please…want to compare trophy rooms, if you say Lin is great, than I’m going opposite, as you have been wrong on your assessments this year.
