that peanut just got assaulted
Yeah, i could dunk on a guy 3 feet shorter than me too.
Is this really supposed to be a highlight? Look at Blake Griffin and then look at this again.
I really like this dunk. Its not the most flashy one but pure dominance.
DAMN that was nasty, i know that javale gets alot of critiscm (most of it warranted) but honestly i personally wouldnt be suprised if hes considered one of the top centres in the leauge 3-4 years from now
Yesse, a 7 footer stealing the ball, dribbling the length of the court, taking off from beyond the dotted-line and then violently yamming on a 6’3 pg who’s trying to take a charge is definitely a highlight.
i looked at blake griffins dunk. But i have seen that dunk like 20 times from griffin. Mcgee goes coast to coast offcourse its a highlight.Plus i just like Javale.
It’s still nice, I don’t care if it’s a point guard that got dunked on.
This is pretty lame..
They really need to do away with that stupid charge/block semi-circle. Its such a bailout for refs and players alike. And the commentator was right, that should have been a foul on Calderon.
^yeah the circle is making the charge call bogus these days, they just look at the cirlce and not if the player is sliding in or not. and this play was dope
can smbdy tell him to stop saluting!!! Hes disrespecting me with his garbage
I was at this game in Toronto, seats right behind the nuggets goal. The crowd really barely reacted to be honest, it was weird.
what u heard there, was a little buzz lol
the real problem is people don’t understand the charge call. The defensive player can be moving in the NBA. “sliding” is how you play defense. If you aren’t sliding your feet then you are a statue. It’s undercutting that is a concern, sliding while the player is already airborne. But a defensive player can be moving and still draw a charge. The circle was meant to cut down on undercutting. And it has done that.
Also, you can take a charge in the circle if you are the primary defender. It is often the secondary defender who is sliding in for the charge. Whether your feet or set or not or if you are still sliding isn’t as important as legitimately claiming the spot directly in front of the ball handler.
@tk: I told him … he dunked on me then saluted. Respect.
I Was Told If The Offensive Player Hits The Defensive Player Verticly In The Chest, I Mean In The Middle Of the Torso, its a Ofensive Foul Even If The Player Isn’t Set.
basically yes. But the defensive player can’t lean so that their chest is infront of the offensive player. THey have to be in a balanced defensive position.
Actually the charge circle isn’t as important based on where you catch the ball. If the offensive player catches it in certain areas, the circle isn’t important. I heard Ronnie Nunn explain it.
But NBK is right, the rule is if the player is already airborne before you are in place, no charge. If teh defender catches below the free throw line extended, the circle isn’t supposed to matter as much as body position. But, refs have all these different guidelines that are strange.
LOOOOOL this is too funny Calderon got cleared like nothing
“Little man, don’t take a charge in there!” hahaha i think that made it highlight worthy
Pure athlete! just need the right coaching to polish up his game to develope into a great big man
