Video: Iman Shumpert Leaves Knicks-Heat Game With Knee Injury

More terrible knee-related news.

A second piece of unfortunate injury news today: In the third quarter of today’s Heat-Knicks bout, NY rookie Iman Shumpert went down badly, appearing to have hurt his left knee. We’re sure to receive an update on the situation soon, but if you missed it, footage of the fall is above.

    I hate to say it but don’t be surprised if you see more of these injuries. These players have endured a lot of punishment to their bodies this season and I think it’s only a matter of time before they give way.

    Hopefully Iman can recover quick, he came back quicker than expected from a injury earlier this season, don’t know how severe the injury is though.

    I don’t see how that injury occurred! It looked like a very freak accident to me. There was no unusual contortion pressure that I could see and it looked to me like his balance was pretty much fine. These freak acl tears scare me.. they seem so causeless

    That’s a real injury there unlike Bron’s dramatic ass flying around like he weighs a 100 pounds lol. Recover soon Shump, so sad for DRose Chicago really looked good the whole season and now they might not even make it past the 2nd round.

    Continued ..the only thing I can think of is that their ligaments we’re already in fairly bad shape from wear and tear, and that they did not do the proper maintenance (ie. Regularly massaging knee ligaments with a high powered jet from a whirlpool)

    Both injuries were freak accidents. Two torn ACLs in the first two games. Rose, Shumpert, Howard, Billups, Rubio. Injuries continue.

    Exact same injury as Rose. Wow. Best wishes to him. For the Knicks, this is brutal. To get absolutely buried in game 1 by the team with the league’s best wing tandem is one thing. But to lose your best wing defender when your star scorers can’t defend . . . wow.

    not only that the refs are giving calls like its a setup that the heat should win, no, now the only guy on the knicks roster who could guard wade is out. grrreat ^^

    The fix is in and the basketball gods have been pocketed! Not only did the refs gift wrap this series for Miami, but Shumpert AND Rose go down?! The Heat have NO excuse to miss the NBA Finals. And from here on i’m calling LeBron James The King of Flop. Get that man an Oscar cause he don’t deserve no O’Brien trophy.
