Video: Amar’e Stoudemire Has Been ‘Extinguished from the Game’

As the Heat extinguished the Knicks.

UPDATE: For some reason, the Miami Heat felt it necessary to apologize for this. Here’s their statement: “Last night at our game, our PA Announcer had a momentary lapse of judgement and used a poor choice of words in describing Amare Stoudemire’s fouling out of the game. This is not who we are as an organization or who he is as an announcer. Both the Miami Heat and Michael Baiamonte apologize to Amar’e and the New York Knicks for the inappropriate choice of words.’”

There were a couple of funny and equally depressing moments in Amar’e Stoudemire’s final game of the season last night. He bowled over Shane Battier for his sixth foul, and then took away his hand after pretending that he’d help Battier get back on his feet. As STAT left the court, the in-house PA guy took a not-so-subtle dig at the injury Stoudemire inflicted on himself following Game 2.

    defamation lawsuit….he humiliated Amare

  • R32

Amare humiliated himself: 1. spaghetti-thin braids (no lineup either) 2. self-inflicted injury 3. b***h move against Battier

It’s amazing how fast Stoudemire went from beloved MVP candidate (before the Melo trade) to one of my (and most people’s) least favorite players in the game.

I wonder why PA guys don’t do stuff like this more often. Are they allowed to say stuff like flop or diva??

that was b!tch move amar’e did on Battier. enjoy your summer Stat

^^ If Battier is on your team, the PA guy should not be allowed to say anything about flopping.

Wade throws away the shoe of Mike Bibby = Amare fools Battier.
An offensive foul like this as sixth foul isn’t what I call as a ref.
    No touch for the game.

Don’t know what happened to that guy. I remember that he was an absolute beast in Phoenix. Maybe he actually needs Steve Nash…

What Happend To STAT Was…. Carmelo, End Of Story.

  • @boweezy24

Put STAT On a Team Without a Carmelo, STAT Will Dominate!

I know at Kings games whenever an opposing player makes a nice dunk or something, they play a sound bite of “whateva.” I know they also used to play Napoleon’s “sweet” whenever the Kings did a nice play.

@R32…hahaha “spaghetti thin braids”, yeah, thats pretty embarrasing!

  • ab40

Put STAT on the spurs. And enjoy the ride.

boweezy is somewhat right though. When Wilson Chandler, Gallo and all those guy were still with the Knicks, it felt like STAT was leading them all the way, playing pretty good too. I remember being surprised by the fact that he was playing so well without Nash.

Spurs r goin to win. Miami can’t buy a ring

As much as I like Melo, the Knicks were a better team before they got him. Still, I’m liking their chances next year with a healthy line-up of:
    1. Lin
    2. Shumpert
    3. Melo
    4. Stoudemire
    5. Chandler
A full training camp and a chance for them to iron out their individual roles will go a long way.
NBA CHAMPIONSHIP 2013 BABY! Jk. But still, they’ll be fun to watch.

  • Landry_legend

Steve Nash can actually fix this melo amare problem. Along with the coaching of Phil jackson or sloan

Stat did dominate. (In his own little way) when he was mellowless & the knix sucked much jock. Cant yall see that it’s AMATE that IS THE PROBLEM ! With the Louis Vutton baggage he comes with I personally dont see him improving from here. Wel see though.the knix need a Gerald Wallace type player at his spot , hard worker with defensive tendencies.

Next Season Tho I Believe They Will Be a Lot Better. Top 3 Like Melo Said. Top 5 Atleast.
