Video: Shawn Kemp Performing Shakespeare

To jam, or not to jam?

This past Sunday, an aproned Kemp performed a loosely interpreted scene from Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew with Seattle Times columnist Steve Kelley. The Reignman may not have a career as a thespian, but he played the chef’s role well at this Seattle Shakespeare Company’s fundraiser.

Ohh the memories of watching Shawn throw down GP’s lobs with the greatest ferociousness ever seen on a bball court. Tied with MJ & Pip for my favorite duo ever.

For every idiot writing about Jay-Z and new names for the Brooklyn Nets we get a gem like this. Thanks for balancing things out Reignman…

As the Rainman would have said it best. Word to all your mammas. My favourite jam back in the day was Shawn Kemp for president.

As Dan mentioned, He looks better now than he did in his last couple years in the L…. Hope he has his addictions under control.. :D

my favourite dunker of all time. And especially his celebrations were on point. Probably all of them would be technical fouls right now.

I miss the Reign Man, a 6″10 guy who could move like he was 6’0 and boy, could he dunk. But I also remember a guy who just loved to play. Like somebody said above, his dunk celebrations were legendary but the expression on the Glove’s face was also priceless like:”Yeah, we dunked on your punk @ss, whatcha gonna do about it?” Those were the days. I always believed that if that Seattle team hadn’t started PLAYING against the Bulls in ’96 by the time they were down 0-3, Ahh……Nevermind.
