LeBron James Soaked With Drink By a Celtics Fan After Game 6 (VIDEO)

Nothing could ruin his night.

It was a banner night for Celtics fans, who came at Dwyane Wade and LeBron James a lot harder than the Boston players did. Some jerk in the stands doused LeBron with a drink following his masterful Game 6 performance, and James’ sly smile after showed that absolutely nothing could ruin his evening.

  • http://www.soundcloud.com/tray-5 T-Ray

Idk what the problem was the fan was just trying to cool him off after torching that a$$

  • The fan that threw it

Tried to start the next Malace at the Palace.

  • ChipS

Kept it moving though. Boston will be Boston.

  • fruizm

Poor Celtics fans…they made me laugh how the kept on cheering with 10 seconds left hahaha!

  • http://www.twitter.com/_dfrance dfrance21

That fan needs to be banned from the Garden.

  • IGGI

Where are all the LeBron hater?? What they got to say about this??

  • http://nontechietalk.blogspot.com Non-techie Talk

Disgusting. Players defend themselves from idiot fans and they get fined and suspended. Where’s the NBA protecting the players? What if that drink has some virus or chemical agent in it? What if it had acid and splashed in his eyes?

If I was Lebron, I’d sue the arena and the league for the lack of security and risk to the safety of his person.

  • RunNGun

Wow… that was uncalled for, even if it was LeChoke.

  • Fresh Boirdee

Lebron played like the player he should be. Not a Bron fan at all, but got to give credit where credit is due… this is the Lebron James I like to see.

  • chiqo

have we learned nothing from the malice?

  • LAguneroFan

    @Fresh Boirdee
If you like seeing Lebron in any way shape or form, you are a fan. Maybe he isn’t your favorite player but you are a fan for sure.
This was the best performance I think I have ever seen on a basketball court. He made those difficult shots look truly effortless.

  • http://www.fullc0urtpress.com KHOLIDAY05

After seeing this, I hope he goese for 60 in Game 7 and eliminates the Celtics! Thats some BS right there!

  • Oh Nose

I wish LeBron would turn it on every night

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

Why do you assume it’s that easy for him? I understand the impulse, but it’s a little unrealistic, no?

  • http://www.soundcloud.com/tray-5 T-Ray

The man averages 30,11,&5 during the ECF and some want him to put up 45,15,&5 every night? Good lawd.

  • 130623

No way in any shape or form is it Brons fault if the HEAT don’t win a chip this year! Him and durant are by far the best players in the game. Not even Michael put up numbers like Bron has a couple times this post season! That says it all! Don’t hate, appreciate!!!!!!

  • vtrobot

@ fruizm: Those are called die-hard fans. If you’re in Miami, it’s likely something you’ve never seen before and I understand how it might seem funny when you actually witness it. Most of us here aren’t throwing drinks at someone who deserves a huge amount of respect and we’re showing love for our team until the very end.

  • O

Dang, kid. Sh*t like that isn’t even necessary. Son lit up ya team with a cheat code straight out a videogame. As much of a bird he is sometimes, he doesn’t deserve to be played like that, man.

  • sixurrs

no superstar handles themselves better than Lebron does. He deals with way more than anything KD, Rose, Dwight, etc. have to deal with. Ron Artest would’ve attacked that fan. Lebron has to shake it off and move on. I can’t imagine someone throwing a beer on me and having to keep my head up and keep walking.

  • http://stapledesign.com Spaceship Jay

Allenp; because it’s that easy for him. That, or he must be put in a position of absolute devastation in order for him to become absolutely devastating. After this season is over however, I agree with an analyst that stated that Orlando should trade Wade and Bosh for Dwight and Anderson. I miss ‘Christ-Mode’ Wade so much.

  • http://slamonline.com Kevin Durant

    Malice at the Garden.

  • http://slamonline.com Kevin Durant

He’s a great player, you know… I’m just gonna continue to get better and play my game, help my teammates win.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

    Well he was on fire.

  • Nate C

@vtrobot, where were those die hard fans in 2006?

  • Sheed

The guy was obviously hammered but that still doesn’t make it ok. But props to LeBron for brushing it off

  • Brad09

hahaha prissy boston fans should of throne that drink at paul P after he layed down.

  • robb

    like I said F*ck Boston

  • Jerome

LeBron will prove to everyone who he is next game.

  • lakernation

F Lebron and anybody that luv em!LOL

  • lakernation

no seriously though…. Lebron is a MONSTER! He just wont ever win a ring.

  • Baller23

Celtics fans have too throw water at lebron,he was too hot.lol

  • DeeDaw

I am not a Lebron lover but damn… some of this stuff is getting out of control.

It’s bullying. And, you can see that it affects him.

    What ever happened to class?

    Do Better people.

  • jose

i remember when he first made “the decision” to go to southbeach. i wouldn’t see a single comment for him, i look today and see it’s not like that (as much)anymore. good to see

  • LA Huey

I was praising Cs fans for the way they sent their team off to Game 7 despite the blow out, then this happened.
Charges should be pressed against that guy.

  • http://www.soundcloud.com/tray-5 T-Ray

Just saw a report that a Celtic fan was stabbed by a Heat fan. Paybacks a b*tch.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

    fa real?

  • http://www.soundcloud.com/tray-5 T-Ray

Yep saw it on the ESPN app. Apparently they were arguing about the game then some dude pulled a switchblade and stabbed the guy in the thigh.

  • http://redoftoothandclaw.ca/ niQ

@T-Ray. Wow, people need to chill the f*ck out. At the end of the day, ah forget about it.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkkTKhw9Fbg nbk

maybe the guy thought he was didn’t have use of his legs. It’s happened before, click my name.

  • retrobat

Yea niQ some people get carried away it’s just a game.
lol @nbk that movie is hilarious

  • PnoyVibe

It was an attempt by a Celtic fan to cool him down for game 7

  • http://slamonline.com Caboose

    Me a phag

  • TheReal

Lebron Hater: two words Clutch Time. Nice clutch game though, considering it a must win. (Applause)

  • http://www.slamonline.com Yvonne Jeter-Abdullah

Hi! It’s your biggest fan again Yvonne Jeter-Abdullah. Well there is another testimony to the class LBJ possesses. You truly are a class act my friend. I am glad that you ignored this individual. It was obviously a ploy for you to loose your cool and an attempt to have you suspended for game 7 if you had reacted to it. You see what I mean the one who walks away is the real man and that is you. You don’t have time for childish acts. Now LBJ when you are out there tomorrow night don’t even think about that it is only a distraction. Stay focused like you were in game 6 that was awesome and play your game like you know you can. The shots you made had an enormous degree of difficulty and you made it look effortless. I look forward to a repeat performance okay remember to slash, cut, backdoor when you are being overplayed, post up, do the step back move, take some three-pointers, drive and AND1, also keep moving look for the seam and flash, flash to the free throw line, set screens off the ball, relax on your free throws and bend your knees and take your time and follow through, block out and put a body on your defender when you rebound, move your feet on defense, get back and match up on defense, and provide that weak side defense when needed. Use your athleticism and think smart like you have been doing. I will be watching! GO HEAT!!! I am so excited!!! I know you will get some help from your teammates tomorrow so try to get them involved early. You are all important because doing the intangibles can be the difference maker in a game to as well. TOGETHER!!! GO HEAT!!!

  • All Day

Imagine if a fan threw beer at Jordan, he’ll put on 70 the next game and kill that team for his entire career. Shut them all up Bron. That was disrespectful.

Love it how bron just put Boston in his back pocket to munch on at a later date. While locking P.P. down this Mo Fo just straight dominates unlike anybody in the league. Bring on saturday nite. Its time to take another step towards your chip dawg. Just anotha chatper in the King James version thats all.

  • BostonBaller

Since I just finished submitting my grades and my vaca is almost here!!!! I’m going to have some fun answering some rhetorical ?’s. AlbertBarr Posted: Jun.8 at 10:31 am “you stay classy Boston.” Don’t take cheap shots at ALL Boston fans for the actions of an idiot..I’m sure fans in your town ALWAYS behave. ChipS Posted: Jun.8 at 10:34 am “Kept it moving though. Boston will be Boston.” 2nd to morons throwing things at players are uninformed posters who throw insults at an entire city. dfrance21 Posted: Jun.8 at 10:39 am
” That fan needs to be banned from the Garden.” I TOTALLY AGREE plus a night in a cell. IGGI Posted: Jun.8 at 10:42 am “Where are all the LeBron hater??” ADD an S at the end… I’m not a LBJ hater (always called him a beast but I’d say the LBJ haters probably live near the RR haters. lol. Nate C Posted: Jun.8 at 12:48 pm
@vtrobot, where were those die hard fans in 2006? I was actually at the Garden cheering on my team…where are you when your team is stinking up the place? I love game 7′s….Throw the ball up and let’s have some fun. either way, the players get paid and we get to watch. It’s only sports/entertainment.

  • BostonBaller

As far as the greatest performance ever? No knock on LaBeast James but it’s a matter of opinion. A lot of people were saying RR had one of the greatest performances a few games ago (not me) Just in this decade alone.. (I don’t want to offend any young cats and be called old timer lol) In this decade alone you have AI vs Lakers in 2001 Finals when he dropped 48 pts, 6 asts, 5 stls, 5 rbs, 9-9 FT and 1 T Lue step over. SHAQ almost had a quadruple double in the same Finals series. DUNCAN in 2003 with 21 pts, 20 rbs, 10 asts & 8 blks. DWADE in 2006 Finals w/ 42 pts, (15 in 4th qtr) 13 rbs..he had a 3 game stretch of 42, 36, 43. What about KG in 2004 against Sacto w/ 32 pts, 21 rbs & 5 blks ? I’m just saying it’s a matter of opinion and for most fans..who their fav player is. You notice I didn’t mention the likes of B. King, M. Johnson, L. Bird, Moses, Andrew Toney, Barkley, Miller, Kobe, Stockton, Dream, MJ etc etc

  • Allenp

    Good perspective Boston Baller.

  • Joshua P

Good point bostonballer, except….how many of those games were a win or go home situation? Were all those players scrutinized every time they passed the ball in the losing minutes of a game? Lebrons game wasn’t just impressive because only one other player has ever done it, its impressive because people actually expect him to put up those absurd numbers, and he does even when he has the pressure of the whole sports world on his back.

  • Heatnation

Lebrun is an amazing player and all should show respect for that kInd of performance

  • vtrobot

Thanks, Boston Baller. Hope you’re well. Enjoy the Finals, that vaca, and the Summer. Peace.

  • http://slamonline.com Mars

Guess that explains what happened in game 7

  • What

  • BostonBaller

@vtrobot, I’m as well as a teacher who just finished out the school year can be. lol @Joshua, D’Wade’s was a title clinching 6th game, Duncan game 6 of Finals, AI’s was game 1 of Finals but talk about the weight of the world…he didn’t have a Wade or Bosh so don’t over do the cliches. I think the Shaq moment was game 2 of 2001 finals (1 of many great moments in his career)28 points on 12-for-19 shooting, 20 rebounds, nine assists, eight blocks. I believe KG’s was a game 7. Regardless of all that…does it matter as long as we can enjoy it?

  • BostonBaller

    Last thought
I believe most of the games I mentioned except games 1 or 2 were either win or go home or the turning point in the series. (W/out turning points you don’t get to do or die games) As far as scrutiny goes, AI was dissed at every turn and actually carried his team like no other player in history. IMO. The reason LBJ gets flack for passing at the last moment is b/c he can be so dominate and when he is on a roll then passes up a shot to defer or fades away from the ball on the last play you can’t help but notice. (If Magic, Bird, MJ, Miller, Stockton or any other all time great did that they would have been blasted too..they didn’t do that and LBJ is learning to embrace that killer instinct as well. As far as pressure goes, who else was going to shoot on Indy teams? So the pressure was on miller as was the defense. Who else but AI? MJ had Pippen and the bench he could depend on but Jordan didn’t defer, he was the focal point at the end of the game and made wise decisions…LBJ is also going to embrace that in time..the time may be here.

  • BostonBaller

LBJ vs PP instant classic game / Wilkins vs Bird, game 7 shootout..Instant classic. I’m out like school kids in June!! Shout out to SLAM, thanks for a great mag from ish 1…..loyal fan from day 1. Blessings to all of you on the site.
