Team USA’s Las Vegas Practices Recap (VIDEO)

Starring Blake Griffin, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant and more.

This weekend, Team USA and the Select Team got together in Las Vegas for the squad’s first practices, and though the media was only able to witness the final 30 minutes of each session, our friends at HoopMixtape captured some solid footage of the world’s most talented hoopers going at it.

so glad to come down here to find that every comment so far is about Kyrie Irving. That’s just what I was going to post. SLAM readers think alike

Man, I wish Irving had elected to play for Australia in the Olympics, dude is straight up nasty.

Kyrie is nice but i was thinking where is John Wall? He couldn’t get an invite? Forget corporate politics. Some of these players are Adidas guys getting some run. But John wall is an afterthought that he couldn’t at least get a run at practice in Las Vegas? Sad how little they thought of him. If he was with Nike he’d probably get some run.

  • heyheyhey

who the hell was number 23??? DAM

damn! after seeing all the comments about Kyrie i was wondering what could be smooth that he did. Did i just see another version of Allen Iverson 2.0? Sick ass handles.

John Wall deserved an invite. as did a couple other dudes. but it almost doesn’t matter bc there’s no way they make the team over D.Will Cp3 and RW. Wall over RW is only kinda arguable if Team USA has tons of shooters for him to dish to and create for. and we don’t. so yeah. Meanwhile RW can get his shot off against anyone in international basketball at any time. but i agree it is a shame JW was snubbed.

kyrie irving was killing everyone~ including the most explosive Westbrook! he deserved to be in the final 12!!

  • BlackStar

I must ask for forgiveness because I didn’t know Kyrie Irving was going to be this nice … Uncle Drew is SERIOUS!!! NJ stand up!!!

I’m going to be original and not mention….nah f-that…IRVING IS CLEAN BABY!!! DAMNNNNNNN

  • A.

John Wall did get an invite people. Look at the post with the practice pics again. Slide 21, he’s sitting in the background behind Westbrook and on the next pic he’s on the court hands on his knees in the foreground waiting for the opening tip. He was there.

man. finally slam fam giving some love to Kyrie. you ain’t seen nothin yet. get on the train guys. LETS GO CAVS!

I have a feeling that Irving will detonate next year.

  • Da-Meat-Hook

KYRIE “MUTHAF*CKING” IRVING *Dwayne Wade vocie*

  • T-Money

the thing that worries me the most about kyrie’s development is… byron scott. if he doesn’t give him close to 40 minutes a game next year, he shoudl be fired. kyrie went for 19-5-4 in only 30.5 mpg last year.

  • http://abcnews.com charliewinning

I was so wrong about Irving’s potential after college.

  • LP

Kyrie Irving. Wow. IWasWrong.Com…. i knew he would be ok, but i’m seeing a higher ceiling than CP3 right now….No, not a prisoner of the moment, but this past season, he was awesome.

  • http://slamonline.com LakeShow

Dear Goodness Gracious! Someone stop that man! (Mark J. Voice)

  • http://slamonline.com LakeShow

T-Money. Don’t you worry. Kyrie will play more than 36 MPG next year. Fact.

  • fruizm

Did anyone else notice how nice Kyrie is??

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

Kyrie Irving is a problem. For real.

  • shawnkemp4prez

KYRIIIIEEEEE!!! Dude is sicknasty.com with it

  • deafballer

its saying something when kyrie is going through these players like theyre high school ballers.

  • billups

bruh, he mixed Kobe KD and James Harden all at one time…..I swear I had that dream a few nights ago lololol. Been a big fan of his since St. Pats, his handle is so fluid man- really reminds me of a younger Chris Paul the way he can use his handle in space (not that CP3 has lost anything, just hasn’t played in the same style of offense).
