Carmelo Anthony In London (VIDEO)

The Knicks star spends time with family, tours the country, and chops it up with Nas.

Here’s a short documentary of Knicks star and Team USA forward Carmelo Anthony spending some quality time in London. On the eve of the Gold Medal game, Melo—along with his son and others—tours the city, takes pictures, and catches up with rapper and friend Nas via telephone. Short and sweet, but some pretty cool stuff.

    I’m sorry, but comments like this ^ drive me insane. Is he not allowed ANY time off? With any NBA player who does anything other than bust their ass in the gym (like they do for the other 99% of their time) people always get on their back about it. Basketball, like any career, is not a 24/7 job.

    ^^^ yeah but he’s one game away from a gold medal in a different city or country for that matter, with his family, who he probably doesn’t get to see much during the season and he can’t have one day away off harsh workouts? It would be selfish to us as fans to do this to players

    Melo’s lost weight since the season ended so obviously he’s been working out. He played well in the Olympics. Hopefully he brings the same attitude and game he displayed in London to NY for the upcoming NBA season.

    I agree that he should be able to have some free time and spend with his family, just playing devil’s advocate. I think danpowers was just getting at “if you’re going to make a promo video, make it of you working out” keep the family stuff private.

    Melo just seems like a guy who wants to enjoy his money and fame in the off season, then the regular season rolls around and he gets competitive wants to win but I don’t get the impression he’s in the gym busting his a$$ off all summer like many other NBA ballers.

    Go to his twitter. http://www.twitter.com/carmeloanthony. He’s clearly been working out. The other day he posted a photo of him in the gym, and you can clearly see he’s gotten smaller.

    guys u got me wrong. sure he has to take some time off to regenerate at times. just asking myself whats the matter with that? when i see footage of these players then basketball footage. how boring is that, to watch a person do random tourist stuff like anybody else?
