Russia’s Vitaliy Fridzon Hits Game-Winner Against Brazil (VIDEO)

Russia remains unbeaten after thrilling finish.

With one last chance to tie or take the lead, Aleksey Shved, who’s headed to the TWolves next season with Russian teammate Andrei Kirilenko, delivered a pass to Vitaliy Fridzon in the left corner. As Fridzon’s shot pierced through the net, the game was essentially over for Leandro Barbosa and Brazil. Russia is now 3-0 in pool play with its 75-74 victory over Brazil.

    The cawk exchange thinks huertas shot too early. Nice he made it, but left his team vulnerable to exactly this. Crazy made shot by fridgezone, especially as leandrinho took out his legs. Very amazing

    Wow, quality teams playing bball in these olympics and the coverage by networks is incredibly bad.
    P2P sites have grainy, small feeds, and getting vidcaps is nearly impossible via official media outlets.
    Epic fail by the powers in charge.

    Fridzon has improved his outside shot by a lot it seems. He’s been consistently hitting open looks from downtown all season long. Impressive for a guy who is basically Russia’s number 1 guard stopper.
