Drummond is showing great potential already. Easy to get excited being a die-hard Piston fan. Haven’t had a player capable of highlight reel offensive plays since maybe Stackhouse. (Chauncey Billup’s big shots not counting)

it’s preseason, but so far, he looks like an NBA big man that will be a player to keep both eyes on.

This dude is something else. If Brandon Knight pans out to be really good, with this guy and Greg Monroe as your front court, the people of Detroit should be very excited for their future, barring anything catastrophic of course.

play style reminds me of javale mcgee….you dont gotta run any set plays cuz he just goes hard

Dude is a center, dunno why they called him a forward. Zero forward related skills. He looks like he could be a top 10 center in a couple years though.

my young mcdyess comparison from last week looks better after that play

Now if ever there was a draftee who surpassed everyone’s expectations, Drummond is the guy. I remember when I saw this highlight last night, I literally almost fell out of my chair. LOL. Then after seeing a highlight of AD putting Al Horford on a poster, I almost broke my computer. LOL. Who says big men take longer to develop? These guys are coming along quite well from what I can see!

Will Drummond and Monroe start together? If so, who plays center?

Drummond. Monroe really is a 4 masquerading as a 5 anyway

Detroit may finally have something to build on here with Brandon Knight, Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond.

Based on what I saw of this guy in college, I wondered if he might be the second coming of Eddy Curry. I really hope he puts in the work over the next few years. From size and raw athletic ability, he has some serious potential.

    What about Ben Wallace’s blocks?

  • Chukaz

What part of “highlight reel OFFENSIVE plays” didn’t you get bro?

I remember wanting the Raps to take BKnight in 2011 and figured they have to take Drummond in 2012 after he slipped from #5 to #9.. smh if Detroit becomes a playoff team.

Definitely a good young nucleus. With Greg Monroe’s passing skills, Drummond should get a ton of easy buckets in the high/low and whatnot.
