George Hill Nails Game-Winner Over Dwight Howard (VIDEO)

GH3′s floater touches the sky.

After trading clutch baskets with Kobe Bryant, George Hill drove one final stake into the Lakers’ hearts by blowing past a helpless Pau Gasol, before floating in a layup over an airborne Dwight Howard.

This was a sad game. Kobe made it entertaining at times but he blew a bunch of possessions as well. FT % and perimeter D is killin us.

Man George Hill at the end of games is disgustingly good at closing this year lmao

I guess no one’s questioning the decision to not bring back Darren Collison

Glad to see it isn’t only the Raptors defence getting torched by George Hill at the end of games

What was the defense plan there? It couldn’t have been to switch Pau on to Hill on the perimeter. MWP didn’t even get picked. And Dwight sure did take his sweet time rotating over. Just a poor defensive effort all around.

voice inside mwp’s head “let’s force him to his strong hand”

  • Yesse

Hold on, why they switched on the poor pick? There was no screen.

You can see what happens to the defense when you get D’Antoni, lol.

If your an offensive player in that situation, you expect the defender to force you away from your strong hand. World Peace was not fast enough to keep up with Hill so if he was gonna stand a chance, he needed the element of surprise…

  • Chukaz

Why was World Peace defending the fastest guy on the floor? The only guy on the floor that’s slower than World Peace was Hibbert. In the time it took Hill to get all the way to the basket, World Peace got 3 feet inside the arc. D’Antoni’s gotta go.

This was an wild ending on both ends

So much for Dwight being there to protect the rim.

Damn.. what a shot. A one handed flip with D12 coming at you to win the game? That, was a thing of beauty man.
