Joe Johnson Beats Ricky Rubio With Spin Move (VIDEO)

Ricky Rubio reached for the ball thinking he had a steal, but he found nothing but air as Joe Johnson had already spun past him for the tear-drop. Dirty.

Where’s Rubio putting it between Deron’s legs?

  • Max

    Sick with it.

i can see joe johnson making this exact same move 25 years from now in some rec League in Arkansas. him, pierce and dre miller have the ultimate old man games

He has been playing great for Brooklyn lately. If anyone on the Nets is going to the All-star game, it’s gotta be him.

Again, Joe Johnson has the best handle at 6’8″ in the League. It wasn’t just the spin move. It was maintaining dribble and balance despite the bump, it was squaring up and hitting him with the baby hesitation and up fake, then giving him the left to right crossover with a hard fake drive, and then hitting him with the spin move to the floater. No other cat at Johnson’s size is doing that. No one.

All true, but Durant has developed quite the cross…

Durant is a beast and his handle is crazy since he’s even taller. But Joe Johnson is tall and big. Plus, he has a better handle than Durant.

Picking up his left pivot foot(the foot he spun on) makes the game so much simpler for him.

  • bill

It was really the travel when he picked up his left pivot foot that was magical because the “travel” call disappeared..

Ok Bill. I’ve never seen that call made in the NBA, therefore it doesn’t exist. If it negates your ability to enjoy the move then I’m sorry for your loss. You would have had a stronger case complaining about the borderline palm.

nah Lopez has been way more consistent.

While I don’t disagree, Lebron’s handle does get slept on sometimes.

Don’t get so worked up, Allen. If you don’t want to deal with the truth that’s up to you. No need to get whiney.

I didn’t realize the tone of my comments was whiny. I believe you read something into them that wasn’t there, since I was going for patronizing.

It’s nice, but I think Joe’s is nicer. Bron is probably number two.
