Paul Pierce Learns of Rajon Rondo’s Injury in Postgame Interview (VIDEO)

“I feel for him.”

After slaying the Miami Heat in overtime on Sunday afternoon, Paul Pierce got some devastating news during the postgame interview. ABC sideline reporter Doris Burke informed Pierce that his teammate Rajon Rondo had been lost for the rest of the season, and the pain became immediately visible on Paul’s face.

Love the way she just casually drops that bomb in with all the other standard post game questions

What a biaaatch the way she just casually tells him.

Reporters are absolute parasites! ESPN said even ROndo himself found out from a reporter first as well. No class either one. Doc didn’t want to tell them 20 min before the Miami game because he wanted more time for the team to console Rondo after the game but NO both attention grabbing reporters couldn’t have that. Another example of why we hate the media!

People think they hate the media until they need information and the people who have it don’t want to release it.

It goes both ways. The media is absolutely vital when it comes to exposing what people want hidden while it at the same time, they are horrible when it comes to the their unquenchable thirst for views and reads at any cost.

    classy move Dorris

  • TV63

Typical power attention grabbing reporter. It’s always about them and getting that reaction on film.

Agree Junior. This wasn’t some covert cover up Allen on ROndo. It was classless example of how I know this is hard to believe that the majority of people (DO NOT LIKE THE MEDIA) overall. Pierce deserved to hear it 1st from ROndo and Doc not BOZO attention grabbing Dorris. It was all about her and getting that look of shock on his face on film. She was saying to herself OH PAYDIRT!!

You take the good with the bad. It’s a business. If you don’t get clicks, you don’t get money. Why do you think websites are free? The entire Internet operates based on advertising. Google, ESPN, they are all the same. All the wonderful technical infrastructure we take for granted comes from the ability of sites to draw in visitors. If you want one for free, you take the other. If you want to pay, you don’t have to deal with it.
