Wild Finish Between the Mavericks and Trailblazers (VIDEO)

It was a crazy, frenetic ending to the Dallas/Portland game last night, as both teams traded huge shots down the stretch. LaMarcus Aldrdige capped the Trailblazers’ furious rally by knocking in the game-winner.

Great ending, but how could that three by LaMarcus not be a travel. Established left foot, put his right foot down, then walked back two steps. Guess the refs don’t have the balls to blow the whistle.

one of my major pet peeves, it’s even worse in college ball. i know this was to get behind the line but so many people catch the ball and take two steps before doing anything else

There have been quite some clutch qnd amazing games in Portland since they drafted BRoy.

Yea, the refs have been more consistent with it this season, especially on the start-dribble. I like that a lot. But in these situations, where it’s a pretty obvious travel and it puts the opponent in a really disadvantage (they tie the game in stead of being down one point), they should just rule it off. Maybe then these players start thinking about it more next time they catch a ball. It’s just that everyone knows you can get away with it in a close game. And the refs know that the players and the fans expect to get away with it, so they let it be.
