LeBron James Watched Michael Jordan Finals Games During the Playoffs (VIDEO)

Inspiration.

In what has become a postseason tradition, LeBron James once again shut off his phone and didn’t check Twitter during the Playoffs. LBJ tells Turner Sports that he killed the time by watching Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls as they battled in the NBA Finals throughout the 1990s, and also got through a few seasons of the hit TV show “24″.

Lebron should make a remix to the new j cole track and call it ‘Let MJ Down’

  • OfftheWall87

There are other legendary players besides Jordan. Not everyone wants to be him.

  • OfftheWall87

No need to compare him to anyone. Just watch and appreciate like Magic Johnson said.

That just means MJ would jump on the remix like Nas did and even Nas praised Cole. So in turn MJ would praise LBJ.

  • pposse

oh but you didnt let me finish T Ray, but then MJ unlike Nas will come out with a diss track and tell Lebron to never mention his name ever again. the hook will go something like “you sure did let MJ down”

  • Slick Ric

    Sigh…

  • danpowers

i think mj would just drop smth like “everybody wants to be like mike” which would pretty much say it all ;)

  • Junior Taylor

24 = greatest TV show not named Seinfeld.

  • King Of All Kingz

THAT’S WHAT’S UP!!! …Cause To Be GREAT or ONE OF THE GREATEST To Ever Play, You Have To WATCH & LEARN From THE GREATS & (MICHAEL JORDAN) WAS & STILL IS THE GREATEST OF ALL-TIME…POINT, BLANK… PERIOD, So Who’s Better To Learn From.

  • Teddy-the-Bear

F*ck yeah. That’s one thing I can agree with you on. Except for the Seinfeld hate… love Seinfeld.

  • Teddy-the-Bear

I’m so sick of the paternalistic bullsh!t about “growing up” and “maturing” when it comes to black athletes, especially NBA players… we don’t ever hear this crap about hockey players or soccer players or baseball players, or even white basketball players.

  • Will Lee

his hairline is really going up. he’ll look like karl malone soon

  • http://www.netstakeover.com/ JetSkiJohnson

    lmao

  • pposse

this is a question i too have pondered myself; you gotta ask T-Ray for he is the one that cut me off.

  • ilikehimcuzuhatehim

Looks like someone has a head on his shoulders. Congrats, you’re a rare breed among sports fans. “Growing up and maturing” is really code for: “being more likable to the mainstream because we tend to dislike young, urban, black males with that much visibility, who don’t cowtow to how we think you should behave and act.” Jordan didn’t have this problem because he had no principles or values other than what corporate white America decided he should display. Lebron, with no criminal record or other deplorable public behaviors, will never be fully supported because he is still too urban and black in a lot of people’s eyes. But they’re all to cowardly to admit why the really hate him. I just wish he’d tell people to get the f out his face more often.

I don’t like Lebron, or rather I hate the fact he went to a powerhouse team to win a ring, however, how much longer must Lebron keep pushing before he is no longer compared to MJ. No one can be the next MJ, not because of lack of talent, but rather by the time you reach such a level, you’re no longer in the shadow of another legend, you become one yourself.

He’s already made a name for himself. He’s at worst top 15 all-time right now. The powerhouse team you talk about…the Lakers and Celtics were powerhouse teams in the 80s. The Bulls were a powerhouse team. So what’s the issue? The Heat didn’t become a powerhouse team until he signed on. Meaning most of the power is him and his skill level added with Wade and Bosh. Just like the Bulls weren’t a powerhouse without Jordan, Lakers weren’t without Magic, so on and so forth. LeBron, diminished Wade and Bosh…Jordan, Pippen, Rodman…not much of a difference there.

HONESTLY, They’re trying so hard to force LEBRON ON & DOWN throats of NBA FANS It’s RIDICULOUS. HE IS NOT MJ & NEVER WILL BE, so let it go already… MJ NEVER-EVER HAD HIS MIND & HEART QUESTIONED & NEVER WILL… LEBRON HAS & that’s one of the MANY KEY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE 2, No matter how many rings he win or records he break.

  • initbruv

Well we agree on 3/4 shows mentioned. That’s a better percent than you and I are used to agreeing on haha.
