‘Linsanity’ Movie Trailer (VIDEO)

It seems completely absurd now, but not too long ago, Jeremy Lin was the biggest story in basketball (if not all of sports, for better or worse.) “Linsanity” the movie/documentary chronicles the young point guard’s meteoric rise to fame, and is set to hit theaters in October of 2013.

That was a fun stretch for us Knicks fans while it lasted.

I enjoyed Linsanity as much as anyone but… isn’t it too early for a documentary?

  • Mrdjhiphop23

It’s just a documentary on his rise to fame nothing like leaving a legacy or anything.

He was underrated then overrated, now he’s just who he is supposed to be, a solid pro who (I believe) will get better.

  • JibbsIsBallin

I guess they’re doing a documentary because they’re assuming Lin is past his prime. I think he’s going to get better from this point.

This is about 2 years too late…

Nothing wrong with blowing up, getting paid for blowing up and now being a solid starting PG in the NBA. Those Knicks moments were pretty exciting.

    Well said.

I don’t know if there is anyone in the NBA I want to see succeed more than this guy. Underdogs are always fun to root for.

Lin was good, but not great, he could score, but only had a left hand, why in the WORLD did the WORLD go crazy. Lets be honest, skin color and ethnicity. Besides that he is not even better than Darren Collison and he is a backup. Also, It was a good story for non bball fans to me. But people who watch basketball have seen this done by others like Flip Murray, but Lin had a great run, but really he is a scrub. Lets be real, Houston overpayed, the Beverly kid is actually a better player at point guard than Lin right now for Houston. Sorry, but lets just be honest.

if you are an African American having through his journey, you wouldn’t be able to make some movie/$$$ out of this, but if you are a race minority in the league and having the Chinese population to support you, then things are very different……just like how yao always start the centre for west all star games all the time :(

kna don’t be reverse. I am asian we never thought that.

I just love that a Harvard graduate is an underdog

  • Meeksanity to Nashty

LINSANITY is over! That’s not greatness, Jeremy Lin is not a great player, It’s just happen that he was given a chance in New York. more playing time, give Jodie Meeks a playing that was given to Jeremy Lin by the knicks and you’ll see MEEKSANITY. Believe me people, Jeremy Lin is nothing in Basketball.

  • Quit criticizing, start apprec

The documentary was probably created because this was a breakthrough in the history of the nba. Scouts and teams began to look more towards the undrafted and d-league because of this phenomenon. I would love to see this documentary and witness linsanity again. It was beyond description! Now to be able to witness this from Jeremy Lin’s point of view? Will be worth every penny!

Agreed. We’ve all seen New York flavours of the month. Take Allan Houston, please.

  • Interdico Scriptor

Um. This documentary was created because journalists/photographers started following a story because everyone else said they had to. And in this renaissance of digitalism they were there from the beginning trawling in the aisles + alleys of New York. They were scrutinising the graffiti in coordination with the stock market and raiding peoples homepages hoping and waiting to be part of a phenomena that they had witnessed and believed in since the first cheque cleared. Consequently, with deadlines arriving and cocaine running out they then cut and pasted terraflops of images and sound bites into a human interest feel good story rags to riches kind of thing that is the pastiche you are so very entitled to enjoy.

although his race contributed to the buzz, his hype was also because he was undrafted and was from freaking harvard! stop hating people he did not ask to be overrated. with regards to his contracts and endorsement deals, he would be a dummy if he didn’t strike whilst he was hot. atleast now he won’t have to sleep in a couch.

  • Basketball Coach

the bench warmer who became a huge success. would definitely watch his story.
