Chris Paul Drops 40 Points Vs Nuggets (VIDEO)

It’s gotta be the t-shirts.

Chris Paul willed the Clippers to a 118-111 win over the Nuggets Saturday night at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. CP3, who didn’t score more than 33 in the regular season last year, tallied 40 points and dropped a game-high 11 dimes. He nearly led his team in rebounds as well, finishing with 7.

the most impressive thing is that he did all that without taking off his warm ups

  • Max

    He’s looking very good.
But those jerseys are just ugh.

  • Saleem Rainman

    All that’s fine and dandy…but 38 minutes in a preseason game? Why…?

  • Ryan

40 is nice but I’d swap that for 10 and a jersey that didn’t look foolish.

  • The Seed

Not a good sign for Clippers if he has to get that to win.

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

he’s definitely been reading my statemetns about rajon, rose, westbrook are better. Where’s my jordan hook up now? I want a Jordan 11 with dorenbacher scheme

  • TheBigL

    Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeat.

  • redbeard

It’s sad that Chris Paul has to become Oscar Robertson for the Clippers to have any chance of success. Blake Griffin needs to step up and DJ has to learn how to shoot outside of 6ft.

Lol Denver is so trash. How you give up 40 in 38 minutes to a guy in cruise control? Them, Minnesota and LA are really going to have one hell of a season competing for the playoffs with probably the worst “playoff contending” defensive rosters from the a Western Conference in over a decade.

  • logues

I know this is a preseason game.. but is it me or can paul pretty much do this kinda stuff just about whenever he feels like it but chooses not too? watching him during the regular season I swear he plays laid back a lot on offense, but every now and then will go on these offensive tears where he breaks down the defense so easily and you swear he could come down every time and do basically whatever he wants.. its frustrating watching him for that reason

Prolly been watching Kyrie Highlight reels.

  • danpowers

preseason, so what. this year the clippers will be fine and successful and denver will be fun to watch. i dont get all these negative comments

  • idk

Idk but I like the blue t-shirt jerseys better than golden state’s yellow t-shirt jerseys. The suns look okay too. Would rather not have them but it’s happening. Time to get used to it.

Selling some shoes right there, that’s a bad boy

  • Elliot

DJ needs to learn to shoot inside of 6 ft before outside of it

    What’s yr first language?

  • Interdico Scriptor

You would? go coach the Lakers

  • LobCity

Did you even watch the game? Blake & DJ were great. Doc was trying out some new lineups. Lawson/Miller pissed off CP3 so he started going at ‘em hard. He was just having some fun, nothing serious. Team looks good

  • Jerome

I wish CP3 was on a good team … Doc is going to have to literally perform miracles to get this team to play D.

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

    guess

  • Interdico Scriptor

    Swahili?

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

Why are African languages considered inferior?

  • Interdico Scriptor

    Who said inferior?

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

you were implying i cant converse well in english and so you when i asked you chose swahili?

  • Interdico Scriptor

No no no. I wasn’t implying that at all. I just noticed a few oddities
with yr writing and was curious. If anything I was trying to be funny by
saying Swahili. Apologies if I offended you mate because what yr saying is definitely worth reading.

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

are you saying that because of the cordial nature of Australians or are you saying that because you really believe that?

  • Interdico Scriptor

Cordial? moi?? Um… how many Aussies do u know? Mostly, we’re arrogant and uncouth as anyone. But in this instance, it’s genuine. If I were up for a fight I would say it (as I’ve said on here before). No, I’m not much good at subtlety; so I would just abuse u if I felt so inclined, but in this instance, that’s not the case. Besides, yr one of the few here to go against the grain and rebut Nbk & Lake, so in that sense we’re brothers in arms.

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

ideological bonds are stronger than blood. but let me ask a curiosity question who is the best athlete from australia? Do you think Andrew Bogut, Paty Mills, Dante Exum, Ben SImmons can be compared to great australians from other sports like Victor Trumper

  • Interdico Scriptor

Ha. Good question. But if u want to be serious don’t even mention Patty or the Bogey man. It would be Ian Thorpe, Wally Lewis, Lote Tuqiri et al.

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

no but I am saying like do you think basketball players will ever have same respect as the rugby and crickters.

It’s amazing that basketball can spread globally but doesn’t capture the hearts of people except maybe china. Like in the states people love football and baseball regardless of viewing.

Its interesting phenomena that basketball has.

are you a fan of coalition or labor party

  • AddingVelocityDontTellMe

I’ve never seen the west in this shape. Eastern conference is better.

  • Nick Holden

You could throw Dallas in there to. Or could their defense become even worse than what those teams are showing up with?
