Michael Carter-Williams and Victor Oladipo Get Triple Doubles (VIDEO)

Stars in the making.

A pair of rookies stole the show in a double OT thriller between the Sixers and Magic. Philly’s Michael Carter-Williams (27 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists) led his team to a 126-125 victory, while Orlando’s Victor Oladipo did his thing with 26 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

MCW biggest steal of fantasy drafts this year

  • Dfrance

Pretty much looking like the biggest steal of the NBA draft, forget fantasy. lol.

  • TRUTH

I remember watching MCW in the McDonald All-American game and hearing his story about a coach that told him he would only be good enough to play for a D2 school. Dude earned himself a scholarship to Syracuse, waited a whole year there to get his chance, helped his team to the Final Four (or Elite Eight, can’t really remember right now), and now he’s in the league making all kinds of noise. This is a true testament of what hard work and dedication and most of all, NOT BEING A SELFISH BALL HOG, can get you. He always played with his team mates whether it made him look good or not, and now he’s reaping the benefits of it. Proud to see the progress this guy has gone through.

What on earth was that shot that Turner took at 0:54 in the Carter-Williams video though?

is this the first time it’s happened?

  • The Mauve Avenger

He started the season with a couple impressive double doubles where he just came up short. I think that’s what you’re thinking of.

  • Grasshoper Funk

I think he’s referring to two rookies getting triple-doubles at the same game. And yes, it’s pretty rare for two players getting these kind of stats at the same game, let alone rookies.
