Kevin Durant Explodes for 46 Points on the Blazers (VIDEO)

KD is on a roll!

OKC Thunder superstar forward Kevin Durant continues to put up silly, video game-like numbers. KD erupted for a game-high 46 points (including 11 in the final 3:30 minutes) in a 105-97 comeback win against the visiting Portland Trail Blazers.

    So disrespectful. #kdisnotnice

    This is getting straight dumb

A lot of those points in the last few minutes were on Nicolas Batum, who says he “deserves” to be an all-star…..yeah buddy….we hear you!

  • Stepfan Raiford

Who was KD talking to on Portland’s bench? They just made him more angrier.

  • Feez_22

    This dude is an animal.

I mean… how do you stop this? He is now dropping 40+ on some of the nba’s best perimeter defenders night in, night out… Iggy, batum… Kahwi is up next tonight. MUST SEE TV. 8pm ET, ESPN.

I used to think that there will never again be a player that averages 40 ppg in the nba. I really believe KD could do it, should he, his team, and his coach be of the mindset.

  • TBRK

at this point the only person who can guard him is himself…and he’s gotten out of his way on this streak. Defenders just look so futile trying to match him….the quick guys are too small, the bigs are too slow….what do you do?

  • TBRK

but seriously you’re right….I don’t think there is a player more equipped to guard KD than Batum as far as length and quicks go…….nothing doing

  • Saleem Rainman

ahhh, thats the catch . Its his second game in two nights. thats brutal. He’s gonna need some teammates to really step up to help him out this time around

yea he could. durants game is so crazy . hes the best of tmac and dirk

GOAT? (I know he needs rings) Most skilled player ever? And who can guard him? Could Jordan guard Durant? No, way, too small. Then who? Lebron does a decent job (with team help) It’s a joke. I’ve been a student of the game forever. Can anyone back me up here?

OKC needs to call Mike D’antoni!

    KD = OP

Man KD is just how my old NBA Live Create-A-Player used to be. 7 foot, handle, 99 on the 3s and skinny as sh1t. lol

Seriously tho, the way his handle has improved over the last 2 years or so, unless he’s not shooting well, there’s no way to stop him. Heck, even when he’s not shooting well, he’s still getting to the line 10 times a game.

Hes the best player in the world right now-Nicolas Batum

real conversation i had with my boy this morning:

me: “in how many video games have you created a player that would literally be Kevin Durant in real life only to quit because it was like cheating?”
    - friend: “3.14″
me: “lol pie? that is an amazing answer even if it was an accident”

Kawhi Leonard would be my choice if i could pick anyone.

    overrated president?

Lebron if he’s fully engaged can force him out of his preferred spots, but Durant can increasingly score efficiently from anywhere on the court. At this point, with his handle, he’s basically unguardable. It’s remarkable.

  • Just Sayin

That height, that shooting touch. KD is like something you could only achieve with hacks in 2k.

I’ve been watching nba for 35 years and I’ve never seen a more efficient volume score re than kd. Shaq was unstoppable but limited in when and where he could score. Mj is the greatest I’ve seen, but even he needed to be in his spots, and if he wasn’t he needed quite a few dribbles to get to his spot or for his drives, which took time. Kd is able to score off of one dribble anywhere on the court. Catch, bounce shot- that’s it. If terms of offensive flow, that’s an amazing advantage for a team to have. Too early to compare him but damn he s forcing the discussion. Only player I’ve seen witht what level of offensive ease was bird, but let’s face it, this is the 2010 version.

Only way if guard him I see is with another elite athlete who can match him step for step, and body him enough to disturb his shot. Lebron versus kd will be fascinating.
Someone said dirk crossed with Tmac, I have to agree.
