Magic Unveil New Uniforms

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Magic unveiled new uniforms this afternoon featuring some ultra-futuristic slanted pinstripes!

    These blow. B. Long’s right (though the blue/whites with the pinstripes from the Stevie Franchise days were equally awesome.)
    I never understand why teams have to change their unis when they, once upon a time, had it right. The Warriors’ unis with the cable car? Perfect. The Warriors’ unis now? They look like some BS squad from that Will Ferrell movie. The Celtics have it right: simply, classy, timeless. The NBA needs to take a cue from the Chuck Taylors: don’t mess with sweetness.

    I was at the unvailing and they look real good up close, nut the blu ones more than than the white ones. Like the numbers very sleek could’ve defenitly seen penny or tmac or some new rapper rockin’ one

    Um… no. Especially in the Dwight Howard pic, they look too much like the Nuggets jerseys. I’m with Ryne on this one; bring back the black alternates!!!

    Can’t add a alternate uni for 2 years after a new jersey is added. So a black alt. won’t be seen for a while. The white ones look cool, not sure about the blue yet. I would rank this one 3rd behind the Hornets and T’Wolves upgraded jerseys.

    I don’t see the point in all of the uniform changing, 90% of the uniforms in the L are perfect for their teams and don’t need changing for another decade (the magic in my opinion was one of those teams). Look what happened to the wolves uni, I enjoyed watching the old Kevin Garnett era uni(not so much the team) and now, with their new model, it just looks uninspiring and it feels as if teams are going away from good, popular looks and trying to look more space age with the V necks and the re-invention of the pinstripe (see Orlando and New Orleans). So here’s a message for the designers (Jonathan Yuska thats you!): We aint’t in mars and we ain’t wanna be in mars so leave our NBA tradition alone and go ruin some other sports look!

    Ther is no way this is worse than the T-wolves jersey. The Penny/Shaq Jersey were the Hottest Jersey Ever (Entire League, there, i Said it – even the Bulls copied it Later) . However the Ones they Had Now were to Plain, especially for a team Nicknamed Magic. PLus they were exactly like the Hornets Jersey. Check em out

    The People who loved last years design and hate this one are Idiots. Its the same damn thing. They Just added the faint pinstripes, you can hardly see them on the white ones. Upgrade

    What was wrong with the original pinstripes? The black alternate pinstripes from back when Penny was Penny was possibly the greatest NBA jersey of all time.

    Was I the only one who much preferred the white pinstripe one from the Penny days, as opposed to the black one. Don’t get me wrong, the black one was hot, but considering how plain most white jerseys were back then, the Magic’s stood out. Didn’t think much of the blue alternate one they bought out though….
