Docs Say Farmar Should Get Surgery

The Lakers’ guard could miss up to two months if he opts for some cut-up: “We’re not happy about it obviously, but this is what we go through in an NBA season,” Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. “We hope that we get guys to support us now that Jordan’s gone.”

What’s the best case scenario for him? 4 weeks? Does this mean the Monkey King get’s some time now?

Who is going to play backup SG since Vujacic is playing Fisher’s backup?

  • chronically_ill

Awww man, this is gonna hurt! Just when the Lakers were rolling. The Lakers are gonna miss that spark Jordan provides off the bench. Looks like Big Chief Triangle is gonna have to revisit the Lamar Odom point guard experiment again (shudder)

    Bring on the Monkey King!

  • Plasticman

We weren’t exactly rolling chronically_ill but it hurts the team none the less. He sounds like he was having difficulties finding a place so he may come back mentally refreshed and ready to go upon return.

And yes, bring on the Monkey King!

Well, it’s good that he’s getting surgery in a way. Because if he were to play on Thursday, Rondo would’ve broken his ankles many times over, and that’s more painful.

when i first read the title i thought it said Doc (as in the head coach of the Celtics)

  • Mendel

Ahh! Look at that. He runs his mouth and now the doctors suggest to cut him up. That what you call a corporate hit in the wold of professional sports

moose are u rondos weed carrier or something. this guy is not that good. and farmar is better than him. wait till dfish calls it a career. and he become the starting pg. then u will see what I’m talking bout

Since Rondo is the starting point guard on the defending Champions Celtics team, I’d think it only makes sense that he’s better than Farmar right now. Let’s not compare. I do hope a speedy recovery for JF though.

The Lakers are versatile enough that with Farmar gone it wont be a problem, he hasn’t done enough this year to be a huge factor.
Ariza can play the 2, Machine can play point etc.
I just hope he’s only out for the time mentioned, remember last year when they said Bynum would only be out for a couple of months …..

  • ClydeSays

I say the Lake Show picks up a PG for the stretch Famar is out. No way do you want Sasha (no d, black hole on offense) manning the point full time.

  • Wongtouski

    Bring on the Monkey King!

  • flipinoman7258

Sweet finally we get to see the monkey king in action!!! Still they might wanna sign somebody to a couple 10-days…

On a sidenote, wtf is up with Luke Walton getting serious minutes, dude is garbage, Ariza>>>Radmanovich>>>Vujacic>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Walton

    Or am I wrong?

  • flipinoman7258

Well Ariza playes fresher of the bench, Radman can play D but cant shoot right now, and Vuicic is a PG/SG… But still why Walton???? Trade him!?

  • http://www.triplejunearthed.com/dacre Dacre

Walton’s not so bad…the biggest thing going against him is his father… :/

  • stokesey

walton does sumthing none of the other dudes at the 3 spot does an thats run the triangle an move the ball, he’s an excellent passer in that triangle offense…

  • stokesey

I still shudder when i see Luke shoot the ball though…PASS IT UP LUUUUUUUUUUUUke :)

  • jay

im with stokesey on this one, Luke’s a great passer, gets the guys open looks and seems like he have dropped his patent “post move” where he would attempt to back his guy down and shoot over him, which would either, not go in or would be sent to the 10th row. im optimistic about Luke getting minutes.

  • lukie

I wonder if they give the chinaman some more pt?

  • http://double-technical.blogspot.com Zee!

Lake Show. We can win without Farmar, however we do have a glaring need for a competent PG. Farmar is not it, and Fisher should be a reserve. Can we at least try to get Felton from Charlotte?

  • I am the walrus

Farmar gets too many minutes for a player of his ability. They should let DJ Mbenga take his playing time.
