Nets Want Mike Miller

But it’s a tad complicated: “The man the Nets have set their sights on (since the start of the week, anyway) is Mike Miller, who has been a washout since arriving in Minneapolis, according to an NBA general manager familiar with the discussions. One snag, perhaps two: The Timberwolves are not in any rush to move the 28-year-old wing, even though Miller averages fewer than eight shots in 30 minutes per game, so they’re playing hardball. Minnesota is asking for a young player and a draft pick in exchange, which the Nets are not willing to consider.”

Not worth it, even if his head was on straight.

in other news: the Nets also have been talking to Washington about Caron Butler. Which happens to be one of my favorite players. And since the Nets are my favorite team, having Caron there would be a dream come true. It probably won’t happen, but it was also released today.

This fellow, Miller, is a true grit gamer. While earning his deserved reputation as a fine pull-up shooter, Miller is a superb rebounder, passer, and plays a high grade defense. Perhaps his most important attribute is that he doesn’t stop the ball. In essence, the Nets need Miller more than the lowly Wolves need to peddle him.

  • Hi!

Mchale will trade him for anything undersized. Man it sucks being a twolves fan

It would be a great chance to get rid of Sean Williams though.

it takes at least 3-4 weeks of no contact to get Sean Williams out of your system

hm, it seems no one is impressed with my previous post that the Nets are also talking to the Wizards about Butler. According to Nets beat writer Dave D’Alessandro, they’ve been talking to the Wizards since the beginning of the season about Butler, but they can’t find a deal yet, because the Nets won’t give up any draft picks.

if the nets wont give up any draft picks, they aren’t going to get any Tough Juice. Pure and simple.

Mike Miller would look good in a Nets uniform. Especially if he decided to start shooting once in a while.

Minny needs to keep Miller. Another young player? Not what they need.

He’s only 28? Seems like he’s been in the league forever.

Miller is unbelievable, if anything hes like Kapono, a hard nosed team player, who can do a bit of everything, but for some reason his shot isnt getting off, let alone in!
Hed be great in Chicago, New York and Phili, all those teams need a good team players, who can spread defences!

Man I’d love to see this guy on a winning team for once; he is a baller. Seems like he’s just drifted from one NBA dreg to another.

    Miller to toronto!!!!!!

  • The Last Kings Fan

The Kings would like Mike Miller too. Just saying

  • http://www.another48minutes.blogspot.com Gerard Himself

Mike Miller to the Kings would make sense, only if Salmons is shipped to the Wolves. But the Wolves don’t really need a guy like Salmons on their roster, as far as I can judge on that. Salmons to me, although very talented, isn’t a real team leader, and needs to be the number one scoring option. And the Wolves revolve around Jefferson, and now with Foye playing very good this season, I think Salmons would be a bad fit.
