Paul Pierce Wants Another Shooter

“It’s kind of hard to say, but definitely you would like to get another shooter,” Pierce said. “I think that could help us. I don’t know if that’s going to be coming from a range-shooting four or a 3-point shooting 3-man, but I think we could definitely use another guy who could stretch the defense.”

Pierce should talk to T-Mac about getting a teammate who wants to shoot the ball (too much). I also heard Marbury likes shooting as well.

Maybe this will get Reggie Miller away from the microphone.

Somehow, ESPN’s trade machine accepts Scalabrine and Perkins for Mike Miller. The trade machine did not necessarily say Kevin McHale would be fired in the offseason.

I heard allan houston wants to make a comeback but he pleads to everyone please “don’t call it a comeback, ive been here for years, knees f’d up but had a jumpshot for years”

  • neaorin

Let’s be honest, after all that Kevin McHale’s been getting away with in Minnesota, nothing short of setting Glen Taylor’s house on fire will get him canned.

  • seb

are you serious?? this guy has to be kidding. they have the best team in the league, 3 all stars, and they still want more. i mean come man, get it together or just admit that the boston celtics suck. they can’t win with 3 all stars, imagine what any other team would do with ray allen and kevin garnett!

  • riggs

    they won last year though…

    Scalabrine! HAHA

  • ENDS

funny how swag nowadays seems to dry up real quick. I think he needs to go the old MJ rout amd punch one of his teamates in the head to wake em up, ala steve kerr. My pick Eddie House

Tony Allen for Jason Kapono, Roger Mason Jr. or Rudy Fernandez straight up. As a Celtics fan, I’d like Boston to get on that!

  • mr. carter

they can’t get rudy or roger. thats for sure. not sure if that kapono trade would work but does toronto want this mr. allen?

  • http://allday-fadeaway.blogspot.com nbk

Toronto wants anything that gets them out of Kapono’s contract.

  • a_whiteman

I think tony allen for jason kapono would be good for the raps, but where would kapono fit in with a team who actually plays d?

  • http://allday-fadeaway.blogspot.com nbk

the same place eddie house fits

  • http://hibachi20.blogspot.com Moose

mr. carter, I know that getting them is not realistic at all, as I’ve made clear in other posts. I’d just love that.

  • http://allday-fadeaway.blogspot.com nbk

Instead of Kapono though the Celtics have a much Higher chance of trading for toronto favorite Anthony Parker

  • http://hibachi20.blogspot.com/ RV

    Novak!

  • MeloMan13

toronto does not want Tony Allen. why do we need a poormans Joey Graham/ Jamario Moon when we have the real things??

  • http://jameyburke.blogspot.com KobeWearsAPurpleThong

Moose, T.A.’s a good player-he just needs to mature. Kapono can shoot the 3 and that’s it. T.A. plays GREAT defense, can penetrate, get the foul line. Kapono’s a one trick pony. Eddie House is almost as good a shooter. I’d prefer to trade O’Bryant, Baby, Scal or Pruitt.

  • melvin ely

^how bout alla them cats for james posey?

  • thesubwayconnection

Kapono’s terrible. He wouldn’t play any D, just like he’s doing in TO. They miss James Posey, that’s for sure.

  • http://twentythreenine.blogspot.com Russ Bengtson

Eddie House would gladly take 47 more shots a night.

  • http://www.hibachi20.blogspot.com Hursty

    RV is correct….

  • http://www.hibachi20.blogspot.com Hursty

Moose you have to stop ‘stealing’ my suggestions for trades.

  • http://www.kayceonline.com/blog/ Kevin

sounds like he wants James Posey.. jus sayin.

  • Pigott17

  • donlaker

    glenn rice is avaliable
    so is j r rider
    and robert horry
    and reggie miller
and why not call mj and see if he can get paxton back in a uniform , cant del curry’s son help you
oh he is in college at davidson… or that football player in the night club with the gun
he is a good shooter for sure lol

  • http://www.myspace.com/fullsoon Fredd

Kapono would be great for he C’s .. I know he does not defend well, but to be in a good team could help to progress … and his 3 pt would be perfect.

  • Will Lee

    i will sign Mitch Richmond

  • BostonBaller

That was just Pierce being Pierce. My Celtics do NOT need to trade anyone although a pick up of Miller (if in shape) or Alonzo (if he wants a 2nd ring) wouldn’t be bad. Why is everyone so quick to shake up this team when we are on the same pace as last year.

Last time I looked, Ray was shooting better than last year, Eddie scored 20 pts in a qtr, Pierce was knocking down his shots, KG is still on point with his jumper AND Glenn Davis was making the mid range shot consistently. If we open up the middle too much Pierce is going to start that out of control spinning “crab walk” move again. That scares me!

The Boston Celtics will be fine. T. Crook
