Shaq’s Twitter Plan Foiled

His coach, to O’Neal’s endless dissapointment, knew (and didn’t care) that he was going to Tweet at halftime against the Wizards: “And sure enough, a brief message was posted on Shaq’s feed before the third quarter. ‘Shhhhhhh,’ it read. It was the same message O’Neal delivered when asked about his Twitter plans before the game. When told Phoenix coach Alvin Gentry already knew about it, O’Neal bent over, leaned against the locker-room wall and groaned loudly, saying his plans were blown. ‘I was going to do it and not get in trouble, then brag about not getting in trouble,’ O’Neal said. Gentry, when asked about O’Neal’s plans before the game, said he didn’t care. ‘As long as he gets 25 (points) and 11 (rebounds), he can do whatever he wants. He can Twitter, Facebook, MySpace,’ said Gentry, who also has a Twitter account set up by his daughter.”

Who is to blame here? Shaq or a dumb website? I’ve made it known here that i despise Shaq, but Twitter is the real villain this time.

  • shaq let it go

Why can’t Shaq just stop trying to be in the headlines, it just looks pathetic at this point.

Shaq is so pathetical at this point. It’s one thing when the young knuckleheads are doing it but man, you’re Big Homie!

Ya know, let Shaq have his fun. All you haters need to stop. Shaq doesn’t have many years left in the NBA; he’s already said he’ll retire in 2010. He reminds me of that crazy old guy that lives next door to you who keeps pulling all these pranks. Yeah, he’s batsh*t insane, but let him have his fun while it lasts. Besides, he’s still putting up great numbers and Tweeting during halftime doesn’t hurt anyone, so who cares?

I agree with baconator over here. We might as well enjoy Shaq’s antics while he’s still in the league. We’ll all miss him when it’s all said and done.

    Hello.

  • http://www.nba.com/suns Dacre

baconator…I had this old guy living across the road once – he was drunk this one time and was trying to open the window in his bedroom or office and he’s there pulling and scratching at the window for ages – he’s calling out at me while I’m playing basketball in the yard and I go over there and here he is completely naked and DRUNK off his face and the window is wide open and he’s just tearing the flyscreen off the window frame – the window was open the whole time and he’s just trashing his own house – so I tell him whats actually happening and he just starts swearing at him self it was funny….and crazy.
I think when Shaq plans to play his last game he’ll come out naked onto the court.
