Stephon Marbury Discovers What a Real Practice Is

Welcome to Beantown, Steph: “Stephon Marbury was wide-eyed and sweaty when he was the last man off the practice floor yesterday…As Marbury spoke, he still was breathing hard even though he’d been on a diligent workout regimen all year. But this was, he was realizing, quite different. This was Celtics abuse. ‘Oh yeah, but it’s good,’ Marbury said, summoning the energy for a brief smile. ‘It was a hard practice today defensively. Defensively this team is amazing. They work at it. They get after it. That’s what it’s about. That’s why they won the championship.’”

    Personally, I’ve never been a fan, but I think playing for the Cs and experienceing some team success could actually be the best thing to even happen to Steph. That “me gainst the world” mentality ios exhausting and hard tro keep up when you’re making 20+ mill puting up stats on a bad team, because in reality, you’ve already “won”. If Steph gets to where he’s playing to contribute to a chip and is willing to do whatever he can to conribute on a given night, he’ll be a serious addition.
