The Big Prognosticator Thinks He’ll Be a Hornet

Via the NY Daily News: “Shaquille O’Neal thinks he’s going to New Orleans in a deal for Tyson Chandler. The Hornets are eager to move Chandler and would like Shaq’s expiring contract.”

    Well, geeeez, it sickens me to no end to read people telling Shaq to retire. The guy earns 20Mil a year, and you want him to give that up? And if you look at his productivity, he lead the Suns in points, rebounds, blocks and field goal percentage, when he is not the 1st scoring option. Make no mistake, the SUns’ first option is Amare, then J-Rich,then whoever is hot from the bench, then Nash, then Shaq. But Shaq accounts for the highest field goal percentage in all the NBA, that is why he still lead the Suns in scoring (because Amare got injured, and his numbers did not reach the minimum games to be considered). Let’s take a look at all the Centers in the NBA, Shaq’s scoring is 3rd overall (Dwight is 1st, Yao is 2nd). Shaq’s numbers are even better than Kevin Garnet (even before he got injured). Anyone asking Shaq to retire do not know a thing about basketball, and are probably old and fat themselves. Shaq has less 10% bodyfat, and is among the strongest in the NBA. You think he is fat? Try making a dunk chumps, if you can even manage that.
