I hope this deal goes through. Nash will resurrect his career. Suns would be great next year

  • Danny W

James I’m with you. I bet the Hornets are none to pleased. The timing sucks, I hope the journalist has a reputable source.

Shaq is like a goodwill ambassador to every city he plays in. I think that will be his legacy, as the traveling happy man.

  • CHE

The Hornets would love to have his expiring contract. I don’t know how that would work for amare and chandler together.

  • chris

Amare might not even come back but those two could work together. I mean it worked with david west. When the suns are running the only teammate that affects the other players is Nash and thats in a good way. Goran Dragic MIP 2010!

  • Rico

Shaq couldn’t bring a champoinsihp to phx because the pieces werne’t there….he could do it for sure with cp3 facilitating. Good move for N to the O

  • Josh

The question is, why would Robert Sarver do it?

  • Prison Mike

Will Phoenix still retire his jersey?

  • NYCBalla

Hey Rico – get a live? You mean life? You wanna tell us where you got yours?

  • http://slamonline.com Russ Bengtson

@Josh That’s the multi-million dollar question. I think there’s no way he takes on Tyson’s contract.

  • http://www.nba.com JE

How is he going to play for the Cavs, Mavericks, and Hornets all at the same time?

  • http://www.twitter.com/TheDiesel Anton

@ JE: He’s not playing back to backs, so he’ll switch jerseys and travel around the different cities, pointing to his ring finger.
If any of the teams play each other, he’ll play for one team till halftime, the other team to finish the game. Whichever he thinks will bring him a ring that night.

This might actually work….at helping my bulimia by making me throw up.

  • Josh D

I swear they want to get rid of Tyson Chandler for financial reasons, so trading him for a contract worth $20million isn’t really isn’t realistic

  • albertBarr

Shaq will end up in cleveland because, despite his trash talking, he realy wants to be apart of lebron and co.’s silly intros.

  • http://ittakesanationofmillionstoholdthissac.blogspot.com ciolkstar

Josh, Shaq’s deal expires in a year and they might try to buy him out for less than the full 20 mill. Tyson has like 4-5 years left, and the Hornets know that they are going to lose CP3 if they don’t get him some legit help. (Sorry, DWest)

D West is very much a legitimate second option and would be on most teams… now I’m not saying the Hornets roster isn’t thin – as a Hornets fan I know that is because I’ve seen it all year, but D West is legit.

  • http://canadianballer.blogspot.com/ karma

It baffles to this day why people always used to make Kobe out to be the bad one.

The Big Irrelevant really needs to retire. This ain’t 2001 anymore Shaq…you’re old, increasingly bitter, and need to go.

  • http://myspace.com/2grownup2beshownup Jack

Che: Chandler and Amare would gel better than Shaq and Amare. Chandler’s more defensive oriented than Shaq.

  • Young Chris MP3

    That would be dope

Wherever shaq “decides” to go, I can’t wait for him to trash everyone in the suns organization. Yes that includes the magically medical staff

  • http://www.broy7.com/roy/index nate the great

YES!! go suns, im glad to hear this, shaq single handanly destroyed the suns this year.

  • rainman10

The only nickname Shaq is worthy of having as he sits out these playoffs is…The Big Twitter.

Russ – Big Beignet is pretty damn good, nice one.

Shaq also said he will go the Spurs, Lakers, Celtics, Cavs, Magic or anywhere else he thinks he can win a c/ship.

I hate Shaq haters! Ya’ll are Nasty! I think Tyson Chandler is a better fit for the Hornets though? CP3 and Tyson connection is 100% effective. Shaq might be too old to run with such an uptempo team. But Shaq is great where ever he goes. And I think working with CP3 and D-West will only invigorate him! If Shaq goes to New Orleans, I am moving there the minute he signs the contract!

Well, geeeez, it sickens me to no end to read people telling Shaq to retire. The guy earns 20Mil a year, and you want him to give that up? And if you look at his productivity, he lead the Suns in points, rebounds, blocks and field goal percentage, when he is not the 1st scoring option. Make no mistake, the SUns’ first option is Amare, then J-Rich,then whoever is hot from the bench, then Nash, then Shaq. But Shaq accounts for the highest field goal percentage in all the NBA, that is why he still lead the Suns in scoring (because Amare got injured, and his numbers did not reach the minimum games to be considered). Let’s take a look at all the Centers in the NBA, Shaq’s scoring is 3rd overall (Dwight is 1st, Yao is 2nd). Shaq’s numbers are even better than Kevin Garnet (even before he got injured). Anyone asking Shaq to retire do not know a thing about basketball, and are probably old and fat themselves. Shaq has less 10% bodyfat, and is among the strongest in the NBA. You think he is fat? Try making a dunk chumps, if you can even manage that.
