Bosh (Basically) Guarantees He Won’t Sign Extension

And he’s focusing on the important things… like stuffing his face: “‘I’m eating all the time — four or five meals a day,’ he said. ‘It’s hard. I mean, I eat three meals a day but it’s not like I’m killing the food. I eat until I’m full and that’s it. Now I have a schedule and it doesn’t matter how I feel (hungry or not), I eat.’ So expect a bigger Bosh for next season and beyond. Just don’t ask what uniform he’ll be wearing the next few years.

    You know, if he works out, all that food could turn to muscle. Or he could turn into Shawn Kemp 2.0. He’d have to work on having 10 kids on each state though. Who knows? With time and a new contract it could actually happen

    Sesa – How do you think he’s going to get more muscle? If you don’t eat more then you’re not going to be able to fuel those weight sessions.

    I always worry when skinny guys add a lot of weight in a short timespan like this. Especially guys who have a history of injury problems. I mean, if you’re getting tendonitis from carrying around a 230 lb frame, how are your knees going to feel if you add 25 pounds of muscle?

    Anyone remember that offseason when Camby added a ton of muscle, and then missed most of the next season?

    On the other hand, if Bosh ends up injured most of next year, maybe the Raps will actually have a shot at re-signing him for a less-than-max contract.

    Joey Graham will be our franchise player. I think the Raps were 9th or 10th in league attendance numbers last season and they’re valued at around $400 mil. I highly doubt the Raptors will be moving anytime soon. Like I said before: Trade. Bosh. Now.

    OBVIOUSLY the Raptors aren’t going to move. Why do Americans think Toronto is small? Toronto is a better city than the majority of places where NBA teams are located.

    The Raptors should deal Bosh out for Amare Stoudemire. I love Bosh, but we need some athleticism and toughness. Draft Tyreke Evans and waive (to put it bluntly) or trade Jason Kapono. Keep Bargnani, probably Calderon, Anthony Parker. That’s IT.
    The best player besides Bosh is obviously Andrea.

    @ JE Wrong. They have one of the best fanbases in the league. They’re top 10 in attendance, even with a non-playoff team. Toronto is a top-5 advertising market in North America by population and wealth per capita.

Yeah, keep a 20 & 10 guy who clearly doesn’t want to stay and will not have help around him for at least another season, by which he will have already left via free agency, leaving the Raptors with no player in return. Great plan, nick! I guess not trading Bosh and letting him leave for free is the smart decision that Brian Colangelo has just been waiting to make! Right on!
