Sorry, Blazers. Hedo Now Going to Toronto
Turkoglu changed his mind, and will reportedly now become a Raptor: “Free agent Hedo Turkoglu has backed out of his commitment to the Portland Trail Blazers and plans to sign with the Toronto Raptors, a source close to the talks told Yahoo! Sports on Friday night. Turkoglu had agreed on a five-year, $50 million deal with the Blazers, but changed his mind and could be headed for a five-year, $56 million deal with the Raptors. Toronto would have to renounce three free agents – Shawn Marion, Carlos Delfino and Anthony Parker – to create the cap space for Turkoglu.”

Win a Ring For the King
The LeBron and Shaq show starts now!

Man, even though the season is over, I love July man. This is crazy.
Starting line-up:
1. Calderon
2. DeRozan
3. Turkeyglue
4. Bosh
5. Bargnani
That’s a nice line-up right there. I hope Anthony Parker can return, but from the article it says he won’t be able to… Who knows though? He was one of my team favorites these past few years and he’s proven himself competitive. Best of luck to him and I know he’ll find a suitable team.
I understand your concern though, the defense isn’t going to be too great, but with a Brian Colangelo built roster, what can you expect? Turkoglu is a much better defender than Marion, I’ll tell you that right now; we’ve already moved a step up. Turkoglu brings an All-Star caliber (should have been picked two years in a row) scorer who can create his own shot. This is EXACTLY what the Raptors need; a slasher who can knock down shots and take pressure off our frontcourt bigs. Marion on the other hand, needs a Steve Nash-type point guard to set him up.
Now add in Demar DeRozan, who has the potential to be a Vince Carter-type player? As a starter? He’s going to develop faster and sooner than expected. This is a great step forward for the Raptors. Brian Colangelo did a heck of a job this offseason, I’ll give him that.
If you want a concern now, its the Raptors’ non-existent bench.
Real quick:
Toronto is NOT a European-type city, its more similar to New York City and other big cities in the US.
A European-type city in Canada would be Montreal.
Blake(probably Miller though), Roy, Hedo, Alridge, and Oden
Bench: Bayless, Webster, Batum, Outlaw, and Pryzbilla.
If the marion and rudy for hedo trade were to happen, both teams would improve and everybody wins.
